On Friday, July 11th, 2025, ATB Tech Hub welcomed students from the KIT UP Academy, a transformative initiative led by EduEdge Consults, for a day packed with practical learning, meaningful conversations, and tech-inspired fun.
KIT UP Academy is an eight-week intensive training program designed for secondary school leavers in Abeokuta, with a focus on equipping them with essential digital tools and life skills needed to thrive on campus and beyond.
During their visit to the Hub, the participants engaged in a variety of activities that blended learning with collaboration:
Hands-on Microsoft Office session: Students were introduced to tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, building on their prior experience with Google Workspace
Interactive chat with the ATB team: A stimulating conversation about the opportunities available in tech and how digital skills can shape their futures
Fun and strategy games: From scrabble and chess to checkers and monopoly, the games helped develop critical thinking, communication, and bonding among participants
We were honored to provide our computer lab and creative room for the experience and thrilled to support EduEdge’s mission of preparing young people for a digitally-driven world.
