The community town hall meeting moved to Abakaliki Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi State Nigeria on 29th April, 2026. This is part of ongoing efforts to raise more active citizens across the 3 LGAs of project implementation and increase more citizens participation in governance processes.

The townhall meeting recorded strong attendance. Community leaders, women groups, youth, civil society organisations, and the media were all present. The discussions were open, lively, and engaging. Participants shared their views on governance, civic duties, and community development, while also listening to one another and learning together.

The session created a space for dialogue and collaboration. It encouraged people to speak up, stay informed, and work together towards stronger community engagement and development.

This activity is part of the Ebonyi Active Citizens Project (EACP) implemented by COPE Foundation with support from YIAGA Africa Yiaga Africa and National Endowment for Democracy.
