Financial Management Engagement with Ward Facilitators under NFWP-SU, Ebonyi State (09/10/2026)

Ward Facilitators from Izzi, Ikwo, and Afikpo LGAs participated in an interactive discussion with the Financial Management (FM) and Procurement team from the World Bank representatives at the State Project Coordinating Unit (SPCU) office, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Ebonyi State.

The engagement focused on strengthening financial management practices and ensuring proper accountability, transparency, and effective implementation of the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU).

The Afikpo LPIU during a follow-up engagement with the Amasiri WFs (7/10/2026)

The team further stepped down the sensitization by engaging directly with the Chairpersons and Record Keepers of the various WAGs in Amasiri.

The engagement was aimed at reinforcing their understanding of the project, clarifying their roles and responsibilities, promoting proper record keeping, and addressing any challenges affecting effective participation and implementation at the WAG level at Amasiri Community in Ebonyi State.

ADVOCACY VISIT TO THE NIGERIA REVENUE SERVICE (NRS)

On 17 September 2026, the State Project Coordinator, Dame Rufina Adannaoma Ugwoke, led the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up (NFWP-SU), Ebonyi State team on an advocacy visit to the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) State Monitor, Mr. Emmanuel Etim, to discuss tax management and strengthen collaboration for the effective implementation of the project.

The delegation included the Project Accountant, Head of Operations, Procurement Officer, CIB Adviser and BCC Adviser. The visit provided an opportunity to engage, share perspectives and reinforce institutional collaboration towards achieving the objectives of NFWP-SU in Ebonyi State.
