1. It is heartbreaking and barbaric that a young woman could lose her life because she reportedly decided to walk away from a relationship. No amount of heartbreak or rejection justifies taking another person’s life. My deepest condolences to her family, and may God comfort them and justice be served asap.
2. I find it disturbing that some people have turned this tragedy into an opportunity to insult and condemn an entire state. Since when did the crime of one person become the character of an entire people, bikonu?
3. Ebonyi State is a beautiful state blessed with wonderful, intelligent, very hardworking, and responsible people of integrity. It is unfair to drag the reputation of over 3 millions of innocent people through the mud because of one person’s wickedness.
4. There are good and bad people everywhere. No state has a monopoly on crime, and no one should be judged by the actions of another just because they share the same state of origin.
5. A young woman has lost her life, and a family is grieving. Bikonu, let us focus on seeking justice for her rather than spreading hatred against innocent people. Condemn the crime, hold the person responsible accountable, but leave an entire state out of it. One person’s wickedness should never become the identity of an entire good people of Ebonyi State.
