OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE CALL FOR DEFECTION
FROM THE PEOPLE OF ISHIELU & EZZA NORTH LGA AND CHIDI EGAH FOUNDATION
Ndi Ishielu, Ndi Ezza North, and indeed the good people of Ebonyi State,
Since last night, we have received countless calls, visits, and petitions from our supporters across Ishielu Local Government Area, Ezza North Local Government Area, and beyond. The _Chidi Egah Foundation_, with membership spanning the two LGAs and reaching every zone of Ebonyi State, has equally added its voice.
The message is loud and clear: The people are urging High Chief Chidiebere Paul Egah (DOUBLE CHIEF) to consider defecting to another political party.
WHY ARE THE PEOPLE CALLING FOR DEFECTION?
This call did not come from nowhere. It is a direct response to the painful injustice, marginalization, and unfair treatment meted out to us by our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Despite our loyalty, our sacrifices, and the visible impact of _Double Chief_ through the _Chidi Egah Foundation_ in education, health, youth empowerment, and community development, we were denied fairness during the party processes. Our people feel betrayed, sidelined, and taken for granted.
They now ask: “Why should Double Chief remain in a house where his efforts are not valued? Why should a man who has served the grassroots be treated as an outsider in his own party?”
THE STAND OF DOUBLE CHIEF
We wish to state categorically that as of today, High Chief Chidiebere Paul Egah (DOUBLE CHIEF) has not responded to these calls for defection.
Double Chief is a man of deep reflection. He is consulting widely — with elders, stakeholders, youths, women, traditional rulers, and above all, with God. He understands that this decision is not about him alone. It is about the future of Ishielu, Ezza North, and the thousands of lives touched by the Chidi Egah Foundation.
He has heard your cries. He feels your pain. But he also believes leadership is not driven by anger or haste. It must be driven by wisdom, peace, and the greater good of our people.
OUR PLEA TO THE PEOPLE
We appeal to all supporters, members of _Chidi Egah Foundation_, and the entire Ebonyi populace to remain calm, united, and prayerful.
Double Chief has never taken a step without carrying the people along, and he will not start now. At the appropriate time, and after thorough consultations, he will address the people of Ishielu, Ezza North, and Ebonyi State on his final decision.
For now, our focus remains service. The Chidi Egah Foundation will not stop touching lives because politics failed us. Our charity did not start with APC, and it will not end because of APC.
CONCLUSION
We thank you for your love, your anger on our behalf, and your loyalty to Double Chief. Injustice to one is injustice to all. But let us handle this moment with maturity, so that tomorrow, history will vindicate us.
We are watching. We are listening. We are praying.
And when Double Chief speaks, the whole of Ebonyi will hear.
