Let's Go Back To Our Root:The Clarion Call Of Our Today's Igbo Youths!Part1
As I was pondering over this Clarion call this morning, I decided to ask my dear fellow youths some questions and my question is which root?
Is it the root where human sacrifices were practiced and legalised? My people in case you don't know or they lied to you, human sacrifice was often performed as part of rituals to appease the gods, ancestors or spirits ,in some cases human sacrifice were made during burial ceremonies to provide companionship for the deceased and human sacrifice was also done during the construction of important buildings,such as shrines.
Is it the root where the osu or caste system and slavery were the order of the day. A discriminatory system where certain individuals or groups where considered outcasts or inferior. The osu and ohu were often restricted from participating in the certain rituals and ceremonies. please believe me that the white men never brought slavery or slave trade but rather our very own people or root before the coming of the white men. In our very own so called root, slaves were often captives from neighbouring communities or individuals who had committed crimes.They worked in the household of their owners and their owners were also selling them or using them for collateral for loan or debts while some slaves were dedicated to the god's and were often used for sacrifice.
Is it the root where the practice of killing of twins has left a lasting legacy of psychological trauma among the igbo communities. Honestly if not for a Scottish missionary Mary slessor we would have been finished by now.
Hello my dear fellow youths, please lets ponder over these questions and have a rethink because to whom brain is given sense is expected.

Happy New Year My People, 2025 Is Our Year Of God's Will.
In life there's man's will and God's will as we all know, the later is always superior to the former, infact we can't compare God's will to man's will.
A will is an intention or decision. A person's will or God's will refers to their intentions, decisions or choices regarding a particular action or outcome.
In view of the foregoing, it's expedient for us to understand that man's will is very limited to God'swill.
One of the major reasons for which God's will is superior to man's will is because God knows us even before we were born or formed and he also knows how best to align us to our true essence in life.
Jeremiah 1:5 puts it this way "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
I want to humbly appeal to us this year to cue into God's will as his plans and purpose for us are always the best.
