We have officially begun the 30 FOR 30 mentorship project by ITER LUX Foundation for Women and Child Development.

This project was created as a commitment to empowering girls aged 12–18 in rural/public schools through mentorship, life skills development, confidence-building, and meaningful conversations that inspire growth and possibility.

We are pleased to announce that schools are coming on board, and the sessions have begun.

Through this project, the girls will be engaged in structured mentorship sessions focused on:
• Confidence and self-worth
• Goal setting and future vision
• Decision-making and life skills
• Hygiene and personal development

At ITER LUX Foundation, we believe that every girlchild deserves access to guidance, support, and opportunities that help shape a better future.

As this project continues, we remain open to:
• Sponsorships
• Partnerships
• Educational materials
• Financial support

All contributions and support will go directly into impacting the lives of these girls and expanding the reach of the program.

To support or partner with us, please send us a direct message.

As we come to the end of April, let’s do more than just talk, let’s educate ourselves, support survivors, challenge harmful norms and speak out against abuse

Sexual violence thrives in silence, do not allow anyone to bully you into silence or bribe you into silence or even trick you into keeping quiet.

And Remember, even though we have come to the end of April, we shall continue the sexual Assault awareness at every level.

The awareness campaign must continue.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, we want you to know that you are NOT alone.

You can always reach out to trusted individuals, NGOs and support groups, medical professionals or report to law enforcement agencies.

Do not allow anyone to bully you into silence or bribe you into silence or blackmail you into silence, you should at least speak to a trusted individual, you don't have to bear the burden alone.

Speaking up is very powerful and it should always be YOUR choice. People will ask questions like;

"why didn't you speak up when it happened, why talk about it now"

We want you to know that it is YOUR choice to speak whenever you want to speak, don't let anyone fix you in an uncomfortable situation.

No matter what must have happened, we want you to know that healing is possible and we are always rooting for you.

Preventing sexual violence is everyone’s responsibility.

Our Role is to;
a. Speak up when we see harassment
b. Educate our friends about consent
c. Challenge harmful jokes and attitudes
d. Support survivors, don’t silence them

We must not play or joke about sexual assault, let us change the narrative, the change starts with us.

If someone confides in you about sexual assault please try as much as you can to believe them, listen to them without judging them, don’t blame them and encourage them to seek help

Avoid saying:
“Why didn’t you speak earlier?”
“What were you wearing?”

Your response can heal or deepen the pain.

In a situation where you can't help, please refer to someone that can help, to avoid worsening their pain or trauma.

Choose kindness. Always.

CONSENT!

Silence is not Consent
Fear is not consent

Before any sexual activity, ask yourself:

Did they clearly say YES?
Are they comfortable?
Are they sober and aware?

Consent is:
Enthusiastic, informed and reversible.

“No” is a complete sentence.

And anything that is not a clear YES is a NO.

Let’s break the myths

❌ “It only happens to women”
✔ Anyone can be a victim.

❌ “They asked for it because of what they wore”
✔ No one asks to be assaulted. Ever.

❌ “If they didn’t fight back, it wasn’t serious”
✔ Fear can freeze people.

Sexual assault is NEVER the victim’s fault.

Let’s stop blaming victims and start holding offenders accountable.

Most of the time, we are found asking questions like; “Why didn’t they report it?”

Here’s why many survivors stay silent:

• Fear of stigma
• Shame and self-blame
• Fear of not being believed
• Threats from the abuser

We should know that silence is not weakness.
It’s often survival.

Let’s create a safe world where people can speak without fear.

Today, we celebrate the incredible women behind the work we do at ITER LUX FOUNDATION for Women and Child Development.

Impact is never built alone. It is built by women who give their time, skills, voices, and hearts to a shared mission.

From coordinating our rural outreach programs, to engaging women in communities, writing powerful stories, offering support, and amplifying our work, each woman on this team plays a vital role in making our vision a reality, your presence have made us reach more women, girls and children. We do not take such level of commitment for granted.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate you.
Your dedication.
Your strength.
Your commitment to uplifting women and girls.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The impact we are making is possible because of you.

07/01/2026

2025 was indeed a good year for ITER LUX FOUNDATION for Women and Child Development.

We visited a lot of schools in rural areas, creating awareness, talking about menstruation, ovulation, gender-based violence, quality education, equality, and the role of women and girls in society in preventing gender-based violence and supporting survivors.

We reached out to women, girls, and children in rural communities.

Our advocacy had a great impact.

We also got officially registered as a member of the Child Protection Network Nigeria (CPNN).

This is 2026, and we are looking forward to doing greater things than we did in 2025.

Happy New Year to you all once again, and we look forward to doing this together, as usual.

Cheers 🥂
