Had an experience at an emergency room last night, where the nurse learned about hEDS for the first time. It warmed my heart when she asked :"how can I show up better for my patients with hEDS?"

This is a good example, the awareness and not to gaslight or minimise the patient's lived experience. I appreciate you, nurse at MediClinic Windhoek. Also, thank you to Dr Shivute for helping me reduce the acute pain I experienced on top of the daily chronic I already have. Mediclinic Windhoek

(POTS) is a chronic autonomic disorder defined by orthostatic symptoms with a sustained heart rate increase within 10 minutes of standing or head-up tilt, without orthostatic hypotension.

This indicates that can substantially impair daily functioning and quality of life, with common symptoms including lightheadedness, palpitations, fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, exercise intolerance, and gastrointestinal symptoms.
