NaCCaPSO is a non-profit welfare organization that promotes the awareness of childhood cancer amongst the general public and amongst health professionals in Namibia. Most forms of childhood cancer is completely curable, if diagnosed early and with the right care. The overall goal of NaCCaPSO is to develop a sustainable parent organisation to ensure that children with cancer are diagnosed early and
that they get access to the best possible treatment, care and support. Since most children in the Central Hospital come from districts across Namibia, it is difficult for their parents who do not have family in Windhoek to stay for a long time to offer the support and care they need and sometimes the children are even removed from the hospital and from the treatment they need. By supporting parents, they can support and care for their children better.
