đź’§ Every day, women and girls around the world spend 250 million hours fetching water - walking an average of 6 km and carrying 44 lb on each trip.

This daily burden takes away time that could be spent in school, at work, or with their families, and it reflects deep inequities in global water access.

🌍 As our world changes, so must our solutions.

At IWRA’s XIX World Water Congress this December in Marrakech, under the theme “Water in a Changing World: Innovation and Adaptation,” we will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore how innovative and adaptive approaches can ensure safe and equitable water access for all.
