New compulsory vehicle license plate system designed to combat fraud and curb criminal activity linked to plate manipulation was introduced to the assembly. The initiative introduces distinct color-coded plates for specific categories, including blue for public passenger transport and taxis, red for diplomats, green for government vehicles, and updated standard designs for private automobiles.

The new plates feature tamper-proof, raised elements and traceable markers that allow traffic officers, road cameras, and scanning devices to immediately identify the manufacturer and verify plate authenticity.

To ensure system integrity, access will be strictly restricted to authorized officials, preventing vehicle owners or manufacturers from altering or manipulating records.

The system incorporates comprehensive digital oversight—including timestamped audit logs, live-streamed monitoring, and physical premises tracking—to detect unauthorized modifications and prevent collusion between employees and manufacturers. Mandatory registration for all plate manufacturers will further reinforce central government management and police enforcement capabilities across the road network.
