Residents, businesses, and institutions can clear their outstanding municipal debt and receive a 100% waiver on accumulated interest when they pay the capital amount owed. The consultative meeting for the nomination of the NORED Board Representative was successfully held, bringing together members of the business community and stakeholders to deliberate on the selection process. Following the consultations, five members were nominated, namely: Muyenga Engelberth, Andreas Musimani, Isack Mario, Siteketa Elias, and Merengue Johannes.

The councill will now consider the five nominees and select one representative who will serve on the NORED Board of Directors. The process reflects Council’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and the appointment of competent leadership to support the development of the local authority electricity sector.
