📚 圓通學校的圖書館終於開幕啦！ 🎉

現在它已經變成校園裡最酷的據點。孩子們善用課間休息和午餐時間在那裡閱讀，完全出於自發。他們甚至在下課時就迫不及待地衝進圖書館。孩子看書就是這麼自在、這麼棒。📖💪

而且從我們每天的借閱記錄中發現一件很酷的事：好多學生都在讀中文書。

重點來了：

✅ 我們有真正的圖書管理員在管理 – 這位管理員懂書、也愛幫學生找對的書。

✅ 每天管理員會記錄誰進來、幾點來、借了什麼書。幫我們掌握閱讀狀況，並維持圖書和環境整齊有序。

✅ 還有 – 我們正在採購葡萄牙文的佛教書籍。因為我們希望佛法能滋養眾生的心靈，並找到真正快樂的方法。

喔，還一件超棒的事……

Dane Wambiri 先生 – 也就是 Fundza 出版社與書店的老闆兼創辦人 – 親自來到圓通學校的圖書館拜訪。他不只是單單說「圖書館不錯」就走，而是認真地指導我們：

· 如何正確營運圖書館
· 協助整理書籍、進行分類
· 成立一個圖書館管理小組（出版社後續還會監督並協助我們）
· 提供我們書目參考資料的指引
· 建立一個社群群組，管理員會在裡面收到讓圖書館符合標準所需的各種電子資料

簡單來說，他確保我們用正確的方式在做事。真的萬分感謝！🙏

圖書館不光是放書的地方，更重要的是，讓大家養成一個會跟著我們一輩子的閱讀習慣。
在這裡圓通學校，已經有了一個超棒的開始！

📚 Guess what? Yuan Tong School library is finally open! 🎉

And honestly? It's already becoming the coolest spot in school..The children are making good use of their school breaks and lunchtime to read there—entirely on their own initiative. They even rush into the library during break time.That's how good it feels. 📖💪

And here's something cool from our daily records: lots of students are reading Chinese books – which is awesome to see.

Here's the deal:

✅ We've got a real librarian running things – someone who actually knows books and loves helping students find the right one.

✅ Every day we track who comes in, when, and what books they borrow (including those Chinese books!). Nothing creepy – just helps us see who's reading and keep things organized.

✅ Also – we are buying Buddhist books in Portuguese. Because we want the Dharma to nourish the hearts of all beings and help them find the way to true happiness.

Oh, and something awesome happened...

Mr. Dane Wambiri – the founder and owner of Fundza, the book publisher– came to visit our library at Yuan Tong School. He didn't just say "nice library" and leave. He actually:

· Showed us how to run the library properly
· Helped with arranging books and sorting them by category
· Set up a library management group (and the publisher will keep an eye on it to help us)
· Gave us guidelines on bibliographic references
· Created a social media group where our librarian gets materials to keep the library up to standard

Basically, he made sure we're doing this the right way. So grateful! 🙏

This library isn't just about books. It's about building a reading habit that stays with you for life. And we're off to an amazing start.

🌕 慶元宵活動 🎉

三月三日是一年一度的華人元宵節，有「小過年』之稱，是個充滿古典浪漫與歡慶的傳統節日。四位從台灣遠道而來的華語老師，設計了摺天燈、搓湯圓等活動，讓孩子體驗中華傳統文化。

高中部的大哥哥、大姊姊，一個步驟一個步驟、耐心教著弟弟妹妹們摺出屬於自己的天燈，並且寫上願望與祝福。微風徐徐，一盞盞懸掛在佛堂前的天燈，彷彿將孩子們的心聲傳送到佛祖身旁。

元宵節慶中最不可或缺的就是「湯圓」。孩子們搓著圓圓的湯圓，象徵事事圓滿，而這充滿祝福的湯圓，也就成為晚餐上的明星商品。

晚餐，除了孩子自己搓的湯圓甜品，還有定滿法師製作的涼麵及保母的爆米花。接著登場的是期待已久的營火晚會🔥，晚會結合了孩子的童軍課程、自架營火及節目設計，大家歡快的圍著營火唱歌跳舞，度過了一個溫馨難忘的元宵夜！🔥✨

🌕 Lantern Festival Celebration 🎉

March 3 marked the annual Chinese Lantern Festival, also known as the “Little New Year.” It is a traditional festival filled with classical romance and joyful celebration. Four Mandarin teachers who traveled all the way from Taiwan thoughtfully designed activities such as making sky lanterns and making tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), allowing the children to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese culture firsthand.

The senior high school students patiently guided the younger children step by step in folding their own sky lanterns and writing down their wishes and blessings. As the gentle breeze blew, the lanterns hanging in front of the Buddha Hall seemed to carry the children’s heartfelt prayers to the Buddha above, creating a warm and touching scene.

During the Lantern Festival, the most indispensable treat is tangyuan (glutinous rice balls). The children rolled the round tangyuan by hand, symbolizing completeness and harmony in all things. Filled with blessings and good wishes, these delightful rice balls became the star of the dinner table.

For dinner, besides the sweet tangyuan made by the children themselves, there were also cold noodles prepared by Venerable Dingman and popcorn made by the house mother.

What followed was the long-awaited campfire night 🔥. The evening combined the children’s Scout training, building their own campfire, and program planning. Everyone joyfully gathered around the fire, singing and dancing together, spending a warm and unforgettable Lantern Festival night. 🔥✨

With sincere hearts, we pray for favorable weather for crops, peace and prosperity for the nation, and a smooth and blessed year ahead for all. 🌟

🌿 莫三比克 ACC 好消息！ 🌿
我們正式宣布，莫三比克 ACC 的童軍團隊已經成立！

六個月前，我們重新啟動童軍活動，秉持著清晰的使命 -- 透過童軍教育為孩子們提供課外教育機會，幫助他們培養重要的生活技能。至今，約有 80 名不同年齡層的孩子積極參與訓練課程、教育與娛樂遊戲、步操、童軍歌曲、舞蹈、遠足及露營等活動。

其中一項亮點是 4 公里的遠足活動，培養了孩子們的堅韌精神與團隊合作能力；此外，我們也在院區附近的小樹林舉辦了假期露營。在露營活動中，童軍們學習基本的野外求生技巧、繩結與綁紮技術，提升自我管理能力，真正體驗童軍精神。

童軍不僅僅是戶外活動，更是一種優良品格的塑造。它教導紀律、領導力、責任感與服務精神。以童軍十誡以及「對天職、對他人、對自己盡責」為核心原則，致力培育正直、堅強、富有愛心的孩子。

今年，我們的童軍團隊目標擴大至 100 名成員，童軍精神將在莫三比克 ACC 蓬勃成長。我們相信，在正確的引導下，孩子們不僅僅是在參與活動，更是在不斷蛻變與成長。💚

🌿 Good News from ACC Mozambique! 🌿

We are pleased to officially announce that the ACC Mozambique Scout Team has been formally established!

Six months ago, we resumed Scout activities with a clear mission — to provide children with extracurricular learning opportunities through Scouting and to help them develop essential life skills. Today, around 80 children from different age groups have actively participated in training sessions, educational and recreational games, drills, Scout songs, dances, hikes, and camping activities.

One of the highlights was a 4-kilometer hike, which not only strengthened the children’s resilience but also enhanced their teamwork. In addition, we organized a holiday camp in a small woodland area near the center. During the camp, the Scouts learned basic outdoor survival skills, practiced knots and lashings, improved their self-management abilities, and truly experienced the spirit of Scouting.

Scouting is more than just outdoor activities; it is a platform for building strong character. It teaches discipline, leadership, responsibility, and a spirit of service. Guided by the Ten Scout Laws and the core principles of duty to God, duty to others, and duty to self, we are committed to nurturing children who are upright, resilient, and compassionate.

This year, our Scout team aims to expand to 100 members, allowing the spirit of Scouting to continue flourishing within ACC Mozambique. We firmly believe that, with proper guidance, children are not merely participating in activities — they are growing and transforming. 💚



Há sensivelmente seis meses retomámos as actividades do Grupo de Escoteiros de Amitofo, criado com o propósito de promover a educação não formal escotista e desenvolver competências essenciais nas crianças do Centro de Acolhimento da ACC Dondo.

Durante este período, cerca de 80 crianças de diferentes faixas etárias integraram o grupo, participando activamente em diversas actividades escotistas, nomeadamente: formações, jogos educativos e recreativos, marchas, canções, danças escotistas e acampamentos. Cada actividade foi pensada não apenas como momento recreativo, mas como ferramenta de formação de carácter, disciplina, liderança e trabalho em equipa.

Realizámos uma caminhada de 4 km, com a participação de 20 escoteiros, cujo principal objectivo foi fortalecer a resiliência, o espírito de equipa e a superação de limites. Também promovemos um acampamento de férias na Pequena Floresta do Amitofo, em Dondo, que contou com a presença de 16 escoteiros e 4 líderes. Foi uma experiência marcante, onde as crianças puderam conectar-se com a natureza, aprender técnicas de sobrevivência, praticar nós e amarras, desenvolver autonomia e vivenciar o verdadeiro espírito escotista.

O Escotismo vai muito além de actividades ao ar livre. Ele forma cidadãos responsáveis, solidários e comprometidos com a comunidade. Baseado nas 10 Leis Escotistas e nos seus princípios — dever para com Deus, dever para com o próximo e dever para consigo mesmo — o movimento promove valores como honestidade, respeito, disciplina, coragem, lealdade e serviço.

Para este ano, o grupo contará com mais de 100 escoteiros de diferentes idades, reforçando o nosso compromisso de expandir o impacto do Escotismo no Centro de Acolhimento da ACC Dondo. Temos consciência do grande desafio que temos pela frente: garantir que todas as crianças vivam a verdadeira essência do Escotismo.

聞鐘聲煩惱輕，

2025 年 12 月 31 日晚餐後，我們與20幾位剛來院區幾個月、這個暑假未返部落、留在院區適應新生活的孩子們，一同念誦《心經》與《大悲咒》，並敲響新年的祈福鐘聲，迎接嶄新的一年。

On the evening of December 31, 2025, after dinner, we gathered with 20 something children who had joined the center only a few months earlier. During this summer holiday, they did not return to their villages but stayed in the center to adapt to their new life. Together, we chanted the Heart Sutra and the Great Compassion Mantra, and then rang the bell to offer prayers and blessings for the coming year.

他以真誠的態度遵守比賽每一項規則，在每場賽事中保持冷靜與彬彬有禮的風範，無論勝負，他都展現出從容與風度。

🎉 Congratulations ! This exceptional honor was proudly earned by Da Li.

Representing Mozambique, Da Li participated in the 16th African Youth Chess Championship held in Zimbabwe from 8–14 December 2025. Throughout the competition, he consistently demonstrated outstanding politeness, humility, and respect toward officials, opponents, coaches, and fellow players alike 🙏♟️

He followed every rule with sincerity, maintained a calm and courteous attitude in each match, and showed grace in both victory and defeat.

🌟 Da Li is the second student from ACC Mozambique to compete internationally. He earned this honor because ACC not only nurtures academic knowledge, skills, and talents, but also places great emphasis on students’ integrity, politeness, and compassion. This achievement brings pride to ACC, inspires other students, and further enhances the positive reputation of ACC in Africa and Mozambique within the chess community.

供佛的法喜 🙏✨

早餐後，一群又一群的孩子聚在觀音菩薩法座下，他們在做什麼呢？🤔

……………………

原來，他們正在向觀音菩薩供養新鮮的芒果，還親手製作供杯來供花、供水、稱念佛號。最後，大家甚至一起唱起生日歌——儘管今天並非觀音菩薩聖誕！🎉

起初，只有一兩個孩子開始準備供品，其他孩子見到後，也歡歡喜喜地加入，一同供養。🥭🌸

看著他們以單純與歡喜的心供養菩薩，這不正是佛法中所說的「無住生心」與「清淨心」的體現嗎？孩子們天真無染的舉動，恰似在實踐普賢十大願中的：禮敬諸佛、稱讚如來、廣修供養、隨喜功德、常隨佛學、恒順眾生。🙏

The Joy of Making Offerings to Buddha 🌼🕊️

After breakfast, groups of children gathered beneath the statue of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. What were they doing?

……………………

It turned out they were offering fresh mangoes to Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. They even made their own offering cups to present flowers and water, recited Bodhisattva's name, and finally sang “Happy Birthday”—even though it wasn’t Bodhisattva’s birthday! 🎉

It started with just one or two children preparing the offerings, but soon others happily joined in. 🥭🌸

Seeing them make offerings with such pure and joyful hearts is exactly what the Dharma teaches: acting with an unattached mind and a clear heart, practicing the Ten Great Vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva—paying homage to all Buddhas, praising the Tathāgatas, making abundant offerings, rejoicing in merits, always following the Buddha’s teachings, and accommodating all beings. 🙏✨
