AFM extends gratitude and appreciation to Clinical Research Malaysia for providing a platform to raise awareness on arthritis and joint-related conditions at the CRM Trial Connect on 8 May 2026.

Apart from sharing AFM’s work and role as Malaysia’s main resource centre for arthritis, other key messages included:

- there are over 100 types of arthritis
- common myths on arthritis, particularly that it is an old person’s disease
- holistic management of arthritis, which includes both medical interventions and lifestyle modifications
- list of hospitals in Malaysia with rheumatology services

Research into arthritic conditions bring new therapies that will help patients manage their conditions and enjoy a better quality of life.

AFM is hopeful that this will lead to increased awareness and support for patients with arthritis and their families!
