💔 LOST, ABANDONED OR FORGOTTEN? 💔🐾

At 3:30am last Saturday, we received a call from the Teluk Bahang Police Station.

A frightened dog had suddenly run into the station, looking for a safe place to hide.

It was late in the night and there was nothing we could do immediately. We promised the officers that after completing our shelter duties the next morning, we would come for him.

When we arrived around noon, our hearts broke.

There he was… curled up underneath a vehicle, alone and afraid.

The moment we got closer, he became defensive. Not because he was aggressive, but because he was terrified. Terrified of people. Terrified of being hurt. Terrified of being abandoned again.

As we looked closer, we noticed he was wearing a collar.

Someone once cared for him.

Yet now he was skin and bones.

His ribs were showing, his body weak, and his eyes told a story we could never fully understand. How many days had he been wandering? How many nights had he slept hungry? How long had he been searching for the people he trusted?

We rushed to buy fried chicken for him.

The way he ate brought tears to our eyes.

He didn’t eat slowly.

He didn’t stop to look around.

He simply swallowed every piece as if he was afraid the food would disappear.

That was the moment we realised just how hungry he had been.

With patience, gentle words, and a few more pieces of chicken, this frightened boy slowly began to trust us. Step by step, he followed the food trail until he finally walked into the carrier.

For the first time in who knows how long, he was safe.

Today, he is resting at 4PAWS.

He appears to be a male dog, approximately 3–4 years old. Although he is safe now, we cannot stop wondering if somewhere out there, someone is looking for him… or if he has been cruelly abandoned and left to survive on his own.

🐾 BRUNO’S STORY – HE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE 💔

Last Thursday, we received a heartbreaking call from a friend about a dog lying helplessly in Butterworth. He could not move his back legs and was suffering alone. We do not know how long Bruno had been in that condition or how many days he waited for someone to help him.

Without wasting time, we worked together with kind-hearted rescuers and a pet taxi service to bring him safely to Cuddles VeterinaryClinic for urgent treatment.

After a thorough examination and X-rays, the news broke our hearts. Bruno’s spine had been severely broken. The veterinarian explained that surgery was no longer possible, as he was not rescued within the critical 48 hours after the accident.

Although we could not change the past, we refused to give up on Bruno.

Today, Bruno is under our care at 4PAWS. While he may never walk normally again, he still deserves love, comfort, dignity, and a chance to live without pain. He now faces a long journey of medication, nursing care, rehabilitation, and daily support.

Every rescue tells a story, but Bruno’s story reminds us how important it is to act before it is too late. We cannot undo his injury, but together we can help him live a better life.

🐾🎥 A STORY THAT TOUCHED THEIR HEARTS… AND OURS ❤️

Two weeks ago, our 4PAWS family had the honour of welcoming 3 wonderful students from Han Chiang University College to our shelter for their Human Story Project shooting.

What started as a simple university assignment slowly became an emotional journey they will never forget…

From the moment they stepped into our shelter, they were shocked and amazed.
They told us honestly…

“We have never seen so many dogs in one place before.”

More than 700 rescued souls…
700 lives depending on love, food, medical care, and hope every single day. 🐾

The students spent their days interviewing our founder, Barbara Janssen, recording videos of our shelter life, and learning the reality behind animal rescue.

But they didn’t just stand behind the camera…

They followed our team during an actual dog rescue mission.
They saw the fear in a rescued dog’s eyes…
They witnessed how much patience and love it takes to save a life…
They followed us to the veterinary clinic and experienced the endless responsibilities we carry every day.

From feeding, cleaning, medical care, rescues, emergency calls, sleepless nights, and endless worries…
they saw the real life behind 4PAWS.

And slowly, their emotions changed.

There were smiles…
There was excitement…
But there were also moments of silence, heartbreak, and tears.

They told us they were deeply impressed by how our team continues fighting every single day for animals that cannot speak for themselves.

For us, this project was not just about filming.

It was about opening young hearts to compassion.
It was about showing the hidden reality of animal rescue.
It was about creating awareness that every rescued dog deserves love, dignity, and a second chance. ❤️

To the amazing students from Han Chiang University College —
thank you for spending your time with our furry babies, for listening to our story, and for sharing our mission with others.

We hope your project will inspire more people to care, to help, and to stand together with animal rescuers everywhere. 🐾

🐾❤️ MELDY IS FIGHTING HARD TO LIVE ❤️🐾

A few days ago, Meldy was lying helplessly inside a cold drain after giving birth… unable to walk, weak, frightened, and alone. 💔

Today, we finally received some good news from her follow-up veterinary check-up.

After another blood test at the clinic, the doctor informed us that Meldy’s condition has improved a lot. ❤️

She is eating very well now…
Her body is slowly getting stronger…
And the most emotional moment for us was seeing her trying to walk again using all 4 legs. 😭🐾

Every small step she takes feels like a miracle.

But deep inside, this poor mother is still carrying emotional pain.

Meldy is still traumatised…
Still frightened…
And we believe she is still searching for the puppies she lost during the heavy rain. 💔

Sometimes she looks around quietly with sad eyes, and it breaks our hearts knowing she went through all this suffering alone.

But because of everyone’s prayers, support, kindness, and concern…
Meldy is slowly finding hope again. 🙏🏻❤️
