A meaningful morning at our Roadshow @ Kampung Kuala Masai, Masai, Johor on 16 September. 💗

We were grateful to be invited to participate in this community health programme organised by Persatuan Prihatin Komuniti Johor Bahru (PPKJB), together with JKPZ Rinting 2.

About 22–24 ladies joined our session. Although we were there to share about breast cancer awareness, we discovered that one of the community’s major concerns is cervical cancer. The wife of the village head had passed away from cervical cancer, making the subject especially close to their hearts.

One participant also courageously shared her own experience — how she went to see a doctor and was subsequently diagnosed with cervical cancer. Her personal testimony made the session even more meaningful and reminded everyone of the importance of awareness, screening and early detection.

A special thank you to Dr Chen from Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI). She was superb! Her explanation was simple, clear and easy for everyone to understand. 👏❤️

Thank you very much to all the ladies, volunteers and organisers who made this roadshow possible. A small group, but a very meaningful morning of learning, sharing and caring for one another. 🌸

Awareness can save lives. Early detection can make a difference. 💕

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Roadshow at Shin-Nippon 🎀

On 8 September 2026, Breast Cancer Support Group Johor Bahru (BCSG JB) was invited by Shin-Nippon Industries Sdn Bhd to conduct a breast cancer awareness roadshow for their employees.

We are grateful to Dr. Farra Ellyana Hazni for sharing valuable knowledge on breast cancer awareness, and to our dedicated volunteers for guiding participants through the breast self-examination demonstration and sharing our support group’s work.

It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and active participation of the ladies. Thank you to Shin-Nippon for inviting us and providing this meaningful opportunity to bring awareness into the workplace. 💗

Our appreciation also goes to everyone who supported our craft sales. Every purchase helps us continue our mission of supporting breast cancer patients and survivors.

Having some fun along the way to MBCS26! 💕🎀

Our BCSG JB members made a memorable stop at Royal Selangor Pewter, where we learnt about the rich history and craftsmanship of pewter-making, watched the skilled artisans at work, and enjoyed some hands-on experiences together.

It was a wonderful time of learning, laughter and fellowship before continuing our journey to MBCS26. 💗

Moments like these remind us that every journey is made more meaningful by the friendships we share along the way. 🌷

💗 BCSG JB at Malaysian Breast Cancer Summit 2026 (MBCS26)
15–16 August 2026 | Kuala Lumpur
Theme: “Becoming Me”

This year marks BCSG JB’s 3rd year participating in MBCS. A total of 33 members and survivors travelled together by bus from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur for MBCS26 – “Becoming Me”, a meaningful weekend of learning, sharing and fellowship.

Our President, Datin Ang Chin Fan, represented the patient and survivor voice at the forum “Through Their Eyes – What Every Breast Cancer Doctor Should Know” and later moderated the “Ask the Doctors” Q&A Multidisciplinary Panel with breast surgeons and oncologists.

Heartfelt thanks to TalkHealthAsia together with BCWA for providing this valuable platform connecting patients, survivors and healthcare professionals. 💕🦋

今年是 BCSG JB 第3年参与 MBCS。本会一行 33位会员及乳癌康复者，一起乘坐巴士从新山前往吉隆坡，参加以 “Becoming Me” 为主题的 2026马来西亚乳癌峰会 MBCS26，度过了一个充满学习、交流与情谊的周末。

本会会长拿汀洪清芳 代表病患与康复者参与 “Through Their Eyes – What Every Breast Cancer Doctor Should Know” 论坛，并担任 “Ask the Doctors” 多学科医生问答会主持人，与乳腺外科医生及肿瘤科医生一起交流。

衷心感谢 TalkHealthAsia 与 BCWA 提供这个宝贵的平台，让病患、康复者与医疗专业人士彼此聆听、学习与交流。 💗

Tahun ini merupakan tahun ke-3 BCSG JB menyertai MBCS. Seramai 33 ahli dan survivor menaiki bas bersama-sama dari Johor Bahru ke Kuala Lumpur untuk menyertai MBCS26 bertemakan “Becoming Me” — satu hujung minggu yang penuh dengan ilmu, perkongsian dan semangat kebersamaan.

Presiden kami, Datin Ang Chin Fan, mewakili suara pesakit dan survivor dalam forum “Through Their Eyes – What Every Breast Cancer Doctor Should Know” dan turut menjadi moderator bagi sesi “Ask the Doctors” Q&A Multidisciplinary Panel bersama pakar bedah payudara dan pakar onkologi.

Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada TalkHealthAsia bersama BCWA kerana menyediakan platform yang bermakna untuk pesakit, survivor dan profesional kesihatan berkongsi serta belajar bersama. 💕🦋
