*MITI与MPC联合举办技术工作小组会议*
2026年6月11日，投资、贸易及工业部（MITI）与马来西亚生产力机构（MPC）联合举办技术工作小组会议，向各行业征求意见，讨论制造业外劳人力资源定义、评估机制及薪资提升框架的建议方案。此举旨在协助制造业迈向自动化发展，减少对低技能外劳的依赖，同时提升本地劳动力的竞争力。
家具行业及隆雪家具公会（KSFA）由第一副会长吴志远（Anson Go）及秘书长郭文章（Kendy Koay）代表出席会议。会议重点之一，是探讨如何根据制造业不同岗位的实际工作内容，重新塑造3D工作（危险、艰难及肮脏工作）的形象。
与会者按所属行业分组讨论，针对各自行业所面对的挑战与影响、未来转型策略、自动化准备情况、技术障碍，以及对政府的建议进行深入交流。
在讨论过程中，KSFA代表积极反映家具行业的实际情况，并提出多项有利于行业发展的建议。所有行业所收集的意见将由MPC汇总，并于7月提呈MITI作进一步研究与参考。
*Technical Working Group organised by MITI and MPC*
On 11 June 2026, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), together with the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), jointly organised a Technical Working Group to gather industry feedback on the proposed workforce definition, assessment mechanism, and wage enhancement framework for foreign workers in the manufacturing sector. The initiative aims to support the industry's transition towards greater automation, reduce dependence on low-skilled foreign workers, and strengthen the local workforce.
Representing the furniture industry and KSFA were 1st Vice President, Anson Go , and Secretary General, Kendy Koay. A key focus of the session was the rebranding of 3D (Dangerous, Difficult, and Dirty) jobs based on industry-specific roles within the manufacturing sector.
Participants were grouped according to their respective industries to discuss the challenges and impacts faced by their sectors, as well as their expected transformation strategies, automation readiness, technical obstacles, and recommendations to the Government.
During the discussion, KSFA representatives actively contributed views and suggestions that would benefit the furniture industry. The feedback collected from all participating industries will be consolidated by MPC and submitted to MITI in July for further consideration.
