ITMA 9th Annual General Meeting 2026 | Strengthening Governance, Expanding Global Impact

Alhamdulillah, the Innovation and Technology Managers Association (ITMA) successfully held its 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 31 March 2026, from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM, in hybrid mode, with the physical session hosted at Dewan Putrajaya, Hotel Park Inn by Radisson Putrajaya.

This year’s AGM marked an important milestone in strengthening ITMA’s governance, strategic direction, compliance, and member engagement. One of the key highlights was the official launch of the Accredited RTP Teaching Module, a significant initiative designed to support the structured training and development of Registered Technology Transfer Professionals (RTTP).

This achievement reflects ITMA’s continued commitment to building a stronger ecosystem for technology transfer, innovation, and commercialization, while expanding its reach beyond Malaysia towards regional and global collaboration in developing technology transfer professionals.

A heartfelt thank you to all members, committee members, partners, and supporters for your presence, contribution, and continued dedication in advancing ITMA’s mission. Together, we move forward to create greater impact for institutions, industry, and society.

Shahir Shamsir bin Omar (UTM), telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke pejabat Penasihat ITMA, Prof. Dr. Samsilah Roslan, di Putra Science Park, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Kunjungan ini turut disusuli dengan perbincangan ramah mesra mengenai halatuju ITMA serta penglibatan bersama Penasihat dalam aktiviti-aktiviti ITMA yang telah dibentangkan sempena AGM ke-9 ITMA.

ITMA’s responsibility does not begin and end with the appointment of its committee. It extends to the continuous fulfilment of every duty entrusted to us under our constitution — governance, accountability, and service to the profession.

This photo marks a meaningful milestone for ITMA: our first-ever audit by the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur). Four committee members, the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer — two from Johor and two from Kuala Lumpur — stepped away from our daily commitments to be physically present, demonstrating a shared sense of responsibility and collective leadership.

Alhamdulillah, the audit went smoothly. Our annual achievements were presented clearly, and ITMA was found to be fully compliant with national regulatory and treasury requirements. More than a procedural exercise, this audit reflects ITMA’s values of transparency, good governance, and institutional integrity.

This milestone strengthens ITMA’s role as a trusted platform for technology and innovation management professionals, and reinforces our commitment to building a credible, sustainable, and nationally aligned association.
