📊📈CONGRESS ON SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY 2026 👥

3rd August 2026, Bintulu: The Congress on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security 2026 (COSAFS 2026) was held at the Imperial Hotel Bintulu, Sarawak on the 3rd until 5th August, attended by Madam Rosila Anthony, the Project Manager and Ms. Daphne Rachel Marius, the Sustainable Production Officer of the MY-FOLUR Project.

The COSAFS 2026 aligns with the MY-FOLUR's goals, as it focuses on sustainable agricultural production, climate-resilient food systems, biodiversity, agricultural policies, industry collaboration and food security.

The COSAFS 2026 provided an amazing platform for different sectors to come together and exchange knowledge, develop collaborations, and identify practical and innovative approaches for sustainable food production, while ensuring long-term security.

📊📈 KONGRES PERTANIAN LESTARI DAN KESELAMATAN MAKANAN 2026 👥

3 Ogos 2026, Bintulu: Kongres Pertanian Lestari dan Keselamatan Makanan 2026 (COSAFS 2026) telah berlangsung di Imperial Hotel Bintulu, Sarawak bermula 3 hingga 5 Ogos. Kongres ini dihadiri oleh Puan Rosila Anthony, Pengurus Projek, dan Cik Daphne Rachel Marius, Pegawai Pengeluaran Lestari bagi Projek MY-FOLUR.

COSAFS 2026 selaras dengan matlamat MY-FOLUR kerana ia memfokuskan kepada pengeluaran pertanian yang lestari, sistem makanan yang berdaya tahan terhadap iklim, biodiversiti, dasar pertanian, kerjasama industri, serta keselamatan makanan.

COSAFS 2026 menyediakan platform yang cemerlang bagi pelbagai sektor untuk berkumpul dan bertukar pengetahuan, membangunkan kerjasama, serta mengenal pasti pendekatan yang praktikal dan inovatif bagi pengeluaran makanan yang lestari, di samping menjamin keselamatan makanan untuk jangka masa panjang.

📢 We are hiring! is seeking a qualified contracted partner under the FOLUR programme to conduct comprehensive gap analysis on existing public, private and donor-funded assistance schemes available to smallholder farmers, cooperatives and community-based organisations in the oil palm sector.

The assignment will identify gaps and barriers affecting access and effectiveness, develop practical recommendations, engage relevant stakeholders, and deliver training and capacity-building activities to improve participation in and management of these assistance schemes

💼2nd MY-FOLUR PROJECT BOARD MEETING👥

31st July 2026, Kota Kinabalu: The MY-FOLUR Project Team successfully convened its second Project Board (PB) Meeting at the Natural Resources Office in Menara Kinabalu. The second PB meeting was chaired by YBhg. Datuk Sernam Singh, the Secretary of Natural Resources, as the Chairman of the Project Board. The meeting gathered the members of the Project Board; representatives from UNDP Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam, led by Mr. Edward Vrkic, Resident Representative; the National Project Director, Tuan Indra Purwandita H. Sunjoto, the Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests (Planning and Management) of Sabah Forestry Department; and the MY-FOLUR Project Management Unit (PMU) led by the Project Manager, Mdm Rosila Anthony, Head of the Forest Sector Planning Division, Sabah Forestry Department.

The meeting preceded with a presentation of matter arising from the first PB meeting by Tuan Indra, and proceeded with the presentation on the Project's progress, financial reports and matters for endorsement by Madam Rosila; and a final presentation by Dr. Gerald Jetony, the Chief Technical Advisor, on the proposed members of the ILM Technical Working Group.

During the meeting, the Project Board endorsed several key matters including streamlining the procurement process, consolidating three consultancies into one, and the proposed members of the Technical Working Group for Integrated Landscape Management (ILM). The MY-FOLUR Project will continue to push forward, capitalising on this momentum to achieve the Project's goals and objectives.

💼 MEMPERKUKUH KERJASAMA KE ARAH PENGURUSAN LANDSKAP BERSEPADU 👥

7 Ogos 2026, Keningau: Projek MY-FOLUR telah mengambil bahagian dalam perbincangan bersama UPPM N.45 Sook mengenai Pengurusan Landskap Bersepadu bagi Sistem Makanan, Guna Tanah dan Pemulihan di Sabah. Inisiatif ini amat penting dalam memperkukuh pengurusan landskap secara mampan, menyokong usaha pemulihan serta memperkukuh sistem makanan yang mampan. Usaha ini selaras dengan komitmen YB Dato' Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, Menteri Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam, untuk meningkatkan pengurusan dan pemuliharaan sumber asli demi kepentingan masyarakat setempat serta generasi akan datang.

🤝 EXPLORING POTENTIAL COLLABORATION WITH THE PRIVATE SECTOR: MY-FOLUR PROJECT × SD GUTHRIE 💼

16th July 2026, Tenom: The MY-FOLUR Project conducted a courtesy visit to SD Guthrie as an introductory engagement session. The MY-FOLUR delegation was led by Dr. Gerald Jetony, Chief Technical Advisor, accompanied by Ms. Anis Pinita Andrew, Community/District Facilitator, and Ms. Daphne Rachel Marius, Sustainable Management Officer. Also participating in the introductory session were Mr. Muhammad Noor Khairuddin B. Seman, Senior Assistant Manager, Mr. Zazmir Manaf, Assistant Manager, and sustainability officers representing Sapong Estate.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the MY-FOLUR Project and its implementation, which focuses on sustainable food systems management, sustainable land use, and environmental restoration and conservation efforts, to the SD Guthrie team, while also providing an opportunity to establish rapport with the SD Guthrie Tenom team.

The meeting also served as a platform for both parties to exchange ideas and explore potential areas of collaboration to support sustainable landscape management initiatives, particularly within the Tenom District (KIA2). Such partnerships are expected to strengthen collective efforts towards promoting sustainable land management and advancing environmental conservation in the region.

🤝MENEROKA POTENSI KERJASAMA DENGAN SEKTOR SWASTA: PROJEK MY-FOLUR x SD GUTHRIE💼

16hb Julai 2026, Tenom: Projek MY-FOLUR telah mengadakan satu kunjungan hormat ke SD Guthrie sebagai sesi pengenalan. Projek MY-FOLUR diketuai oleh Dr. Gerald Jetony, Ketua Penasihat Teknikal, Puan Anis Pinita Andrew, Pemaju Komuniti/Daerah dan Cik Daphne Rachel Marius, Pegawai Pengurusan Mampan. Turut mengikuti sesi pengenalan ini ialah Tuan Muhammad Noor Khairuddin B. Seman, Penolong pengurus Kanan, Tuan Zazmir Manaf, Penolong Pengurus serta pegawai kelestarian mewakili Sapong Estate.

Tujuan kunjungan ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan Projek MY-FOLUR dan pelaksanaan Projek MY-FOLUR yang memfokuskan kepada pengurusan sistem makanan, penggunaan tanah secara mampan serta usaha pemulihan dan pemeliharaan alam sekitar kepada pihak SD Guthrie serta berkenalan dengan pasukan SD Guthrie Tenom. Di samping itu, melalui pertemuan ini, kedua-dua pihak dapat bertukar pandangan dan meneroka potensi kerjasama yang boleh dilaksanakan dalam menyokong inisiatif pengurusan landskap mampan terutamanya dalam daerah Tenom (KIA2).

15hb Julai 2026, Kota Kinabalu: Projek MY-FOLUR telah mengadakan satu kunjungan hormat ke Sabah Biodiversity Centre (SaBC), serta menghadiri mesyuarat perbincangan bagi meneroka peluang kerjsama strategik pada masa hadapan.

Pada 15 Julai 2026 yang lalu, SaBC telah menerima kunjungan hormat dan mengadakan mesyuarat perbincangan bersama 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐤 (𝐏𝐌𝐔) 𝐌𝐘-𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐑 bagi meneroka peluang kerjasama strategik yang lebih erat.

Bagi yang belum mengenali, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐤 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬, 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐑) merupakan satu inisiatif global yang dibiayai oleh Global Environment Facility (GEF) dengan penyeliaan teknikal oleh World Bank.

Di Malaysia, projek berimpak tinggi ini diterajui oleh United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) bersama 𝐉𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐡 selaku Rakan Pelaksana, yang memberi tumpuan khusus kepada rantaian nilai komoditi kelapa sawit yang mampan serta pengurusan guna tanah yang bersepadu.

🤝SYNERGISING INITIATIVES FOR EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION : MY-FOLUR PROJECT X WWF-MALAYSIA 💼

17th July 2026, Kota Kinabalu : The MY-FOLUR Project paid a courtesy visit to WWF-Malaysia at the WWF-Malaysia Sabah Office to discuss on WWF-Malaysia’s activities as one of the co-financiers of the MY-FOLUR Project. WWF-Malaysia was represented by Dr. Henry Chan, Senior Director of Strategic Conservation Partnerships, Dr. Robecca Jumin, the Head of Conservation, and the Sabah Landscapes Programme team; whereas MY-FOLUR Project was represented by Dr. Gerald Jetony, Chief Technical Advisor and eight other Team members.

Both presentations preceded the joint discussion to explore potential on the synergies and collaborations between the MY-FOLUR Project and WWF-MY in supporting integrated landscape management and forest conservation in Sabah. MY-FOLUR Project and WWF-MY continue to build the momentum presented by the meeting to further align their respective goals and landscape approaches for effective collaboration on the MY-FOLUR Project.

🤝MENYELARASKAN INISIATIF BAGI MEMPERKUKUH KERJASAMA: PROJEK MY-FOLUR X WWF-MALAYSIA💼

17 Julai 2026, Kota Kinabalu: Projek MY-FOLUR telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke pejabat WWF-Malaysia Sabah bagi membincangkan aktiviti WWF-Malaysia sebagai salah satu pembiaya bersama Projek MY-FOLUR. WWF-Malaysia diwakili oleh Dr. Henry Chan, Pengarah Kanan Perkongsian Strategik Pemuliharaan, Dr. Robecca Jumin, Ketua Pemuliharaan, serta pasukan Program Landskap Sabah. Sementara itu, Projek MY-FOLUR diwakili oleh Dr. Gerald Jetony, Ketua Penasihat Teknikal, bersama lapan orang ahli pasukan yang lain.

Kedua-dua pihak telah mengadakan pembentangan sebelum meneruskan sesi perbincangan bersama bagi meneroka potensi sinergi dan kerjasama antara Projek MY-FOLUR dan WWF-Malaysia dalam menyokong pengurusan landskap bersepadu serta pemuliharaan hutan di Sabah. Projek MY-FOLUR dan WWF-Malaysia akan terus memperkukuh momentum yang terhasil daripada pertemuan ini dengan menyelaraskan matlamat serta pendekatan landskap masing-masing demi memastikan kerjasama yang lebih berkesan dalam pelaksanaan Projek MY-FOLUR.

🌳SUSTAINING TODAY'S RESOURCES FOR THE FUTURE🌱

15th July 2025, Kuching: The 21st Malaysian Forestry Conference was held from 13th to 16th July 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak. The three-day event sought to bring together the Forestry Departments from three regions to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and discuss strategic priorities for the sustainable management of Malaysia's forests.

The MY-FOLUR Project was represented by Tuan Indra Purwandita H. Sunjoto, the National Project Director, and Madam Rosila Anthony, the Project Manager. This showcases the Sabah Forestry Department's commitment to conservation in increasing the country's economy, and the MY-FOLUR Project's pledge toward sustainable integrated landscapes and efficient commodity value chains, aligning with the Conference's theme, forests as a catalyst for a green economy.
