International Women’s Month | West Bank, Palestine 🇵🇸
This month we celebrate the women who keep culture, heritage, and hope alive through their craft.
Love Welcomes is proud to partner with , working with women artisans in the West Bank who carry forward the tradition of tatreez, the centuries-old Palestinian embroidery passed down through generations.
“Embroidery helps me stay connected to Palestinian heritage through research, collecting drawings and information about Palestinian embroidery, passing it on to future generations, and introducing the world to our heritage,” shares Rahaf.
“My favorite motifs are those embroidered on pillows, bags, and tea towels—each telling a different story, each rooted in generations of tradition.”
Tatreez is more than decoration — each motif tells a story of the land, family lineage, and the perseverance of Palestinian women. Through their work, Rahaf and her fellow artisans ensure these stories continue to be shared with the world.
Together, we created embroidered tea towels and placemats designed to complement our Palestinian ceramics collection. Paired with our olive branch pottery, these textiles help bring the table together — blending craft traditions in a shared message of hospitality, heritage, and peace.
At a time when the Middle East faces deep uncertainty, these pieces carry a deeper meaning. The olive branch, long a symbol of peace, reminds us of the hope that communities across the region continue to hold.
Through every stitch and every piece of pottery, these women preserve culture and share a message that travels far beyond borders: a call for peace.
