Beneficiary: Ng Thian Sang
Medical Diagnosis: Stricturing Crohn’s Disease

Ng Thian Sang, 73 years old, has long suffered from asthma, prostatitis, colon cancer, depression, and stricturing Crohn’s disease caused by inflammatory bowel disease. For years, he has depended on medication to control his condition while enduring recurring pain and physical discomfort.

In hopes of improving his condition, he began biologic treatment in 2024 to help reduce inflammation and ease the burden on his body. However, the long term treatment and medication needs have also placed increasing financial pressure on his daily life.

Since the passing of his wife in 2018, Mr. Ng has been living alone. Due to strained family relationships and the lack of close support, he has had to face illness and life’s hardships largely on his own, without reliable care or assistance.

Because of his prolonged health problems, he has been unable to continue working since 2019. Previously a taxi driver, he now experiences constant fatigue and drowsiness caused by the many medications he must take daily, leaving him unable to work and dependent on limited assistance to survive.

Even so, he continues trying to carry on with life while silently enduring the suffering brought by his illnesses.

Your contribution can help ease his medical and living burden, allowing him to feel the care, compassion, and warmth of society during this difficult journey.

Please extend a helping hand and support Ng Thian Sang as he continues fighting through life’s challenges.
Every act of kindness gives him strength to keep going.

Beneficiary: Tan Khai Lun
Medical Diagnosis: Glaucoma and Kidney Disease

Since Birth, Illness Has Never Left Him

Tan Khai Lun, 35, was diagnosed with glaucoma at birth and has lived with severe vision impairment for most of his life. While many people take everyday activities for granted, his life has always been filled with limitations and challenges.

At the age of 15, complications arising from glaucoma further damaged his kidney function. He was later diagnosed with kidney disease and has since required long term dialysis treatment. At such a young age, he was forced to begin a lifelong journey of medical treatment while enduring the physical and emotional burden of chronic illness.

Due to his unstable health condition, Tan Khai Lun is unable to maintain regular employment and finds it difficult to spend extended periods outside his home. Much of his daily life depends on the support and assistance of his family. Years of illness have not only affected his physical health but have also gradually isolated him from social activities and connections.

Despite these challenges, he continues to cooperate with treatment and face each day with determination. However, the ongoing medical expenses and daily living costs remain a heavy burden for both him and his family.

Your contribution can help ease his medical and living expenses, allowing him to continue receiving treatment with peace of mind while bringing hope and encouragement to his journey.

Please extend a helping hand and support Tan Khai Lun as he continues moving forward.

Every act of kindness gives him the strength to keep going.

Beneficiary: Yao Yu Yang, (13 y/o)
Diagnosis: Congenital osteogenesis imperfecta / brittle bone disease, with protruding chest bone around the heart area

Even turning over in bed may cause a fracture.

Yao Yu Yang, 13, was diagnosed with congenital osteogenesis imperfecta, commonly known as brittle bone disease, since birth. His bones are extremely fragile, and even a slight knock, movement, or an accidental mistake during daily care may lead to a fracture.

Due to the severity of his condition, Yu Yang has never been able to move freely like other children. His family does not dare to let him crawl or walk freely, as they worry that any movement may cause injury. Over the years, he has suffered multiple fractures and has had to go in and out of hospital repeatedly. He also requires long-term treatment and regular follow-ups to help stabilise his condition and strengthen his bones.

For his family, caring for Yu Yang is not only physically and emotionally challenging, but also a heavy long-term financial burden. Besides daily living expenses, the family must continue to bear the cost of medical follow-ups, injections, unexpected fractures, treatment and other related expenses.

Since 2014, Yayasan Nanyang Press has been providing Yu Yang with RM500 monthly living assistance, supporting the family throughout this long journey of care. As Yu Yang still requires long-term medical follow-up and stable care, we sincerely appeal to the public to continue lending a helping hand and help ease the family’s burden.

Every contribution and act of kindness will help Yu Yang continue his treatment and grow up with better care and support.
