Fashion Revolution Malaysia

Fashion Revolution is a global movement advocating ethical & fair fashion. Join us in growing the impact of this movement in Malaysia!

The demand for an ever-replenishing supply of cheap “fast fashion” has been a race to the bottom, in which factories outsource to the lowest bidders, resulting in human rights violations for the workers and unregulated pollution of the environment. In fact, fashion is the second-highest polluting industry behind oil. Fashion Revolution Day aims to generate awareness for the Slow Fashion movement. The movement calls for accountability through all steps in the clothes-making process — it’s the fashion world’s answer to the Slow Food movement. Fashion Revolution Malaysia Team:

Join us for a month-long series of gatherings, workshops and conversations held in conjunction with Fashion Revolution Week - because a revolution takes more than a week ✊🏼🧵

As the global fashion system drives overproduction and waste, we are also feeling a shift closer to home where textile waste is rising and our connections to clothing, makers and practices of care are slowly fading. Yet these ways are not lost, they continue to live on within our communities.

This month, we gather to remember, relearn and reimagine our relationship with clothing while exploring how we can harness the power of the collective to shape more just, joyful and regenerative futures.

Swipe to discover the many voices and partners-in-change shaping this movement 💚 our Fashion Revolution community hosting events across the month!
