World Play Day Celebration for Children with Autism
Organized by Rotary Club of Bukit Bendera

Date: 18th May
Venue: Balai Rakyat Batu Lanchang, Penang

In conjunction with World Play Day, the Rotary Club of Bukit Bendera organized a special event dedicated to children with autism. Held at Balai Rakyat Batu Lanchang on 18th May, the event saw the enthusiastic participation of 65 children with autism.

The day was filled with engaging games, creative activities, and joyful moments designed to foster inclusion, creativity, and social interaction. Volunteers, families, and community members came together to create a warm and supportive environment where every child could express themselves freely.

This meaningful initiative reflects the Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting children with special needs and raising awareness about autism in the community.

Thrilled to announce that the Rotaract Club of Bukit Bendera has officially been chartered on 23rd May 2025! Please join me in extending a warm welcome to this exciting new addition to our Rotaract family.

Located in Penang, the Rotaract Club of Bukit Bendera has 18 dedicated and enthusiastic charter members. With the leadership of Charter President Saitissyha Kunasekaran, who is supported by her father, President Kunasekaran of the Rotary Club of Bukit Bendera, this new club will play an essential role in expanding Rotaract in the Penang region. The growing presence of Rotaract in Penang will significantly enhance opportunities for youth leadership and community service in the area.

We would also like to take a moment to acknowledge and express our gratitude to President Kunasekaran. His journey on understanding Rotaract began in 2023 when we first met during the District Training Assembly in Penang. From that moment, his passion and commitment to Rotaract grew, and today, in his second year as President of RC Bukit Bendera, he has successfully chartered the Rotaract Club of Bukit Bendera. His leadership and vision for the future of Rotaract in Penang have been truly inspiring.

A special thanks also goes to Rotarian Kuhen, a new Rotarian to the club, for his dedication and passion for working with youth. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the other Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Bukit Bendera for their steadfast support and guidance in this chartering process.

Sincere appreciation to District Governor Arvind for his unwavering support and belief in the power of Rotaract.

Lastly, congratulations to Charter President Saitissyha Kunasekaran! Your leadership is sure to propel this club to new heights, and we look forward to the incredible impact you and your team will make in the community.

Great honor to hve inducted 3 new members in Rotary club Bkt Bendera making a current total of 15 members.
We start with 7 members in the beginning of July’24. Thru continuous support and dedications of the club members we grew in strength and very proud to hve a new breed off highly committed Rotarians. Looking forward to a wonderful and successful year ahead .

Special thanks to our guest speaker ASP Devan Raman - Ketua Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Komersial, Daerah Seberang Perai Utara for sharing his expertise & real-life examples that truly resonated with the audience.
