Humana Stakeholders Meeting 2026
On 18 April 2026, Humana successfully convened its annual Stakeholders Meeting at Ormond Hotel, Sandakan, achieving an outstanding attendance from our valued stakeholders. The session was further strengthened by the presence of representatives from the Sabah State Education Department (JPNS) and District Education Offices (PPD), reflecting a shared commitment towards inclusive education.
This meeting provided an important platform for Humana to present key updates, ongoing efforts, and progress in delivering holistic education to children living in palm oil plantation communities. It also reaffirmed our collective dedication to ensuring that no child is left behind, particularly non-citizen children who continue to face barriers in accessing formal education.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction of the Bright Futures Reintegration Programme. This initiative represents a holistic, child-centered approach aimed at identifying and reintegrating out-of-school, at-risk, and working children into safe and meaningful learning environments. Beyond prevention, the programme serves as a structured pathway to address educational gaps, provide psychosocial support, and build long-term resilience—empowering every child to reclaim their childhood and work towards a dignified future.
While the foundation of this programme has been in development over the past two years, we are encouraged by the positive impact it has begun to show. With the continued support and collaboration of our stakeholders, Humana is committed to expanding and strengthening its implementation in the years ahead.
Humana extends its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their unwavering support, partnership, and active participation. Together, we are making meaningful strides in advancing the rights of non-citizen children and ensuring access to quality education for every child, everywhere.
