BIMP EAGA Transport Council convened its 10th meeting. Pertinent matters were discussed and land transport Working group has approved for the issue regarding the on going ‘selective trading’ at Tebedu-Entikong Border to be escalated to Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) for intervention in the coming month at Brunei Darulsallam.
The representatives of Business Council Sarawak questioned the validity of requests by Indonesia for Sarawak to open up new land cargo routes between both countries while facilities invested by Sarawak at Entikong-Tebedu is not utilised and entry of Sarawak & Brunei are stopped by Indonesia.

SCCI President Dato Sri Abang Hj Abdul Karim welcomed a courtesy call from SARADEC led by Marketing and Promotions Executive, Mr Hubert Poh. He was joined by SCCI Public Relations, Liaisons and Activities Committee, Ms Angie Kueh.

Meeting was updated on SARADEC’s roles and functions with a view of future collaboration.
