🦁 2nd General Meeting 2026/2027

On 19 August 2026, our Leo Club held its 2nd General Meeting at the Multi-Purpose Hall, with 75 members in attendance.

The meeting included updates on recent activities such as the Blood Donation Campaign, Taiwan Youth Exchange, PIBAKAT Food Fair & Charity Sale, and a Leo Leadership Session.

Members were also briefed on upcoming activities, including Leo Leadership Training, Greening Tomorrow, Borneo Empurau Farm and Resort Leadership Camp, Region 1 Joint Installation, and Together, We Brave the Shave – Region 1 Lions & Leos GoBald for Children with Cancer. 🌱🦁

Faculty Advisor Mr. John Yap reminded members of the importance of staying for the full duration of General Meetings, while Leo Advisor DC Helena Lim encouraged members to participate in October Membership Month and recruit new members.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING | 2026/2027 🦁
The Leo Club Board of Directors Meeting was successfully held at the Computer Lab, with 22 out of 29 BOD members present, together with our Faculty Advisors and Leo Advisor. The meeting was called to order by President Olivia Tan at 4:18 p.m.

The meeting covered updates on our past and upcoming activities, Secretary’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, and Advisors’ Remarks. 💼✨

Throughout June and July, our club participated in various meaningful activities, including a visit to Borneo Empurau Farm and Resort, a Sign Language Learning Session, volunteering at the SSD Charity Food Fair, a Cancer Awareness Talk, and the Build Your Stars – Meet & Greet Session. 🤝❤️

Looking ahead, members will be involved in exciting upcoming activities such as the Leadership Camp, Go Bald for Children with Cancer Campaign, Blood Donation Campaign, and PIBAKAT Food Fair & Charity Sale. 🌟

🦁 1st General Meeting 2026/2027

On 29 July 2026, the Leo Club held its 1st General Meeting at the Multi-Purpose Hall, with 60 members and our Faculty Advisors and Leo Advisor in attendance.

The meeting included updates on club activities, finances, Lion Portal reporting, and upcoming projects such as the Blood Donation Campaign, Pibakat Food Fair & Charity Sale, Go Bald for Children with Cancer, and Borneo Empurau Farm and Resort Leadership Camp.

DC Helena Lim also shared updates on the OSEAL Leo Forum 2026 and reminded members about Lion Portal reporting and LLC.

To end the meeting, members celebrated Past President Lucas Ling’s birthday before taking a group photograph. 🎂📸

100% of donations made to Lions Clubs International Foundation are used to support grant programs, allowing Lions and Leos to help the world on a larger scale and do more than they could on their own. On 21 June 2026, the Leo Club of St. Joseph's Private Secondary School took part in a volunteer service at the SSD Charity Food Fair, held at the Association of Churches Building, Kuching. From serving meals to spreading smiles, we love giving back to our Kuching community.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support this wonderful cause.

On 20 June 2026, Saturday, 28 Leos from St. Joseph’s Private School Kuching, Leo Advisor Past President Helena Lim and Faculty Advisor Mr. John, as well as 3 Leos from SMK Kuching High, students who have attended BIM classes at SSD and deaf volunteers participated in setting up for the SSD Charity Food Fair held on the following day, 21 June, Sunday.

After attendance was taken, all the participants received a briefing given by Leo Advisor Past President Helena Lim and a SSD representative. We were then given a task to set up the venue by arranging tables and chairs according to a layout provided and laid tablecloths for all stalls. We also assisted the vendors by unloading from their cars into the venue.
Since we finished the setup ahead of schedule, Leo Advisor Helena Lim took the opportunity to teach us how to fingerspell the alphabet and learn basic words in sign language. To put it into practice, she called on a few of us to fingerspell their names.

Although there were mishaps here and there, we still managed to pull it through good teamwork and cooperation. Ultimately, setting up the SSD Charity Food Fair was a rewarding experience that showed us the true value of hard work and dedication to our community

The MD 308 Forum 2026 in Tuaran, Sabah, was an unforgettable journey for the 25 members of the SJPS Leo Club. Over three meaningful days, our Leos participated in inspiring leadership sessions, interactive workshops, fellowship activities, and opportunities to connect with fellow Leos from across multiple districts.

A major highlight of the forum was the insightful dialogue session “Leo Today, Lion Tomorrow,” alongside engaging public speaking and leadership workshops that empowered participants with valuable skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of servant leadership.

The forum was also a proud milestone for SJPS Leo Club. Club Secretary Leo Tiffany Lim received the Black Pin Award and the MD 308 Leo Changemakers Award, while Club President Leo Herman Kiu was honoured with the Global Action Team Honours Award. In addition, SJPS Leo Club proudly earned the Distinction Award within the district, reflecting the dedication and commitment of our members.

As the forum concluded, participants left with cherished memories, stronger friendships, and renewed inspiration to serve their communities. The MD 308 Forum 2026 was truly a celebration of leadership, growth, and fellowship that will continue to inspire us as Leos and future Lions.
