🌟 3 Days 2 Nights Leadership Camp @ Kampung Mujat, Serian! 🌟
From 30 Aug – 1 Sep, the Leos of St. Joseph’s Private School had an amazing adventure at Kampung Mujat, filled with leadership, service, cultural exchange and Merdeka spirit. 🇲🇾✨
👉 Day 1: We arrived at the village and kicked off with the Installation of Club Officers, the first ever held in a village setting 🎉. Afterwards, we learned to make traditional kuih like Kuih Jala, Kuih Telinga & Kuih Rose, bonding through food and fun! 🍪 The night ended with our first leadership session by PP Helena Lim on Impromptu Speaking, inspiring us with new skills. 💡
👉 Day 2: It was National Day, so we started with Zumba 💃, a patriotic walk carrying flags 🇲🇾, and fun games with villagers & children 🎨⚽. In the afternoon, we went tekuyung (river snail) hunting 🐚 and later enjoyed bubur cha-cha prepared by the villagers. The day ended with another inspiring session on The Art of Communication 🗣.
👉 Day 3: Our final morning included a Children’s Reading Action program, eye checks 👀, and a community clean-up to promote environmental awareness 🌍. Saying goodbye to the villagers was emotional – their warmth and hospitality truly touched us. ❤
This camp gave us unforgettable memories, strengthened our bonds, and reminded us of the true meaning of leadership, service, and unity. 💛
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing Faculty Advisors Mr. John Yap, Faculty Advisor Ms. Leona Chrisha & Leo Advisor Past President Helena Lim for their guidance and support throughout this journey. 🙌
