I’m Sabrinah, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology student from HELP University and I’m currently conducting my research to explore how the unique bonds we share with our pets can help us grow through the pain of bereavement. By sharing your journey, you are helping to pave the way for deeper empathy and better psychological support 🫂

Presented by Dee Hati Centre for Grief, Bereavement and Trauma and Sarawak Energy Berhad, our Grief Support Training held on the 14th & 15th in Miri brought together meaningful conversations on grief, psychoemotional support, mindfulness, and empathy.

Grief doesn’t always look like tears. Sometimes it appears as silence, exhaustion, irritability, or simply trying to make it through the day. Through this training, participants were encouraged to better understand grief and learn how to create safer, more compassionate spaces for those experiencing loss. 🤍

There is a specific kind of sadness in remembering how easy things used to feel for you.

When people only knew you as “the smart one,” struggling can start to feel embarrassing instead of painful.

But not every battle is visible and not every form of grief looks the same.

Grief is not something to erase or outgrow.

In WandaVision, Vision asks: “What is grief if not love persevering?”

It shows us that grief exists because love existed first. When Wanda lost Vision, the love didn’t disappear. It changed form and she tried to hold onto it in her own way.

That’s often what grief is for us too which is love continuing even after loss. You don’t have to rush through it. You’re just learning how to carry that love differently now.
