Our Water Polo🤽‍♂️ 🤽‍♀️Journey from SUKMA player to ACDM/President/Coach ~ 1986 → 2026
40 YEARS LATER… THE DREAM LIVES ON 🏆💦
40 years ago, 2 young Sarawak water polo players jumped into the pool with one dream — to win for Sarawak.🤽‍♂️ They are Yong Hui Voon Voon Yong Hui and Tan Kun Gee...
In 1986, they stood together as players in the Sarawak Water Polo Team and became Champions 🥇
They were young.
They had a dream.
They had passion.
And they believed in Sarawak.
⏳ 40 YEARS LATER…
The two are back.
But this time, they are no longer inside the pool as players.
Voon Yong Hui stands at the poolside as the Head Coach, guiding and inspiring a new generation.
Pemanca Tan Kun Gee, once Voon’s teammate in 1986, now serves as Team Manager and Assistant Chef De Mission (Aquatics & Ping Pong) of the Sarawak Contingent.
From teammates…
to coaches and leaders.
From chasing the dream themselves…
to helping the next generation achieve it.
❤️ THIS IS MORE THAN A MEDAL.
In 2016, Voon and Tk Gee came together once again and established PASC Power Aquatics Swimming Club , with a shared mission — to rebuild Water Polo in Sarawak.
They wanted to give young Sarawakians the opportunity to learn, compete, dream and one day wear the Sarawak colours.
It took 10 years of hard work, patience, sacrifice and belief… And in 2026, that dream came alive again.
🏆 SARAWAK WATER POLO — CHAMPIONS🥇🥇
The same two men who once fought for victory in the pool in 1986 were now standing behind a new generation of champions.
1986 — Champions as players.
2016 — Started PASC rebuilding the foundation.
2026 — Champions again.
Forty years have passed.
Faces have changed.
Generations have changed.
But the passion for Sarawak Water Polo never changed.
From one generation to another, the torch has been passed. 🔥
To the athletes of 2026 — you are not only winning a medal. You are carrying a legacy that began long before you entered the pool.🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️🤽
And to everyone who played a part in this journey — coaches, managers, officials, parents, clubs, supporters and former players — this championship belongs to all of you. ❤️
40 YEARS LATER…
THE DREAM IS STILL ALIVE.
THE LEGACY CONTINUES.
From 1986 Champions🤽‍♂️
to 2026 Champions.🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️
đź’™ ONE FAMILY. ONE MISSION. SARAWAK BOLEH! đź’™
🏆 SARAWAK WATER POLO — THE LEGACY LIVES ON💛
