Culture Connect - Thank you to The Patatas, Singapore; UCSI University & UCSI School; Mega Rumah Kanak-Kanak Orang Asli and German European Singapore School for the event recently co-organize.

Below is a brief report from GESS Facebook:
[GESS BeyondClassrooms] Earlier this month, our students returned from the Culture Connect Malaysia trip, where they engaged in meaningful cultural exchange, sustainability activities, and collaboration with local communities and students!
Throughout the experience, our students represented GESS with openness, respect, and maturity, forming genuine connections and gaining valuable perspectives beyond the classroom 💫
From nature quests and climate change simulations to sports activities, cultural exchange, and time spent with Orang Asli youth, the trip encouraged students to learn through experience, empathy, and connection.
A truly memorable journey of global citizenship and intercultural understanding! 🌱

A Living Showcase of Greening Malaysia Program at Pos Betau Dewan Orang Ramai RPS Betau

With strong support from the OA villagers, the TBR team is transforming the community hall into a pilot greening site under the Greening Malaysia project.

The surrounding area is being enriched with forest saplings and selected indigenous “pokok nadir” species, turning the space into a living demonstration site for forest restoration and community-led restoration.

This initiative not only enhances the environment around the hall but also showcases how community spaces can be reimagined as green learning hubs that reflect both ecological recovery and local stewardship.

Special thanks to TBR youth team - Ayas, Syakir and Jong for all the preparation work, especially in clearing the bushes and cleaning the hall areas, inside and outside. Our high appreciation also goes to Tok Batin Othman and Mr Ahmad Selalu, the Chairperson of JPKKOA of Pos Betau RPS OA Community for providing access to the hall and supporting us with all the preparation work.

🌿 Project Launch & Partners’ Visit Session 🌿
Malaysia Greening Programme & Community Development Project, Pos Betau, Lipis

We are pleased to invite our project partners, sponsors, and community members to the official launch and site visit of the Malaysia Greening Programme and Community Development Project in Pos Betau, Lipis.

This special occasion marks a meaningful milestone in our collective journey of forest restoration and community empowerment. It brings together key stakeholders to witness ongoing reforestation efforts on the ground, strengthen collaboration, and celebrate shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.

The programme also provides an opportunity for partners and sponsors to engage directly with the Orang Asli community, experience the reforestation site, and see first-hand how environmental restoration is being integrated with local capacity building and livelihood development.

We sincerely appreciate the continued support of all partners in making this initiative possible, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone together as we work towards a greener and more sustainable future for Pos Betau. 🌱

🎉 Congratulations to the TBR team! 🎉

We are excited to share that The Blue Ribbon Global has secured a 6-month baseline grant with WWF-Malaysia (Procter & Gamble Grant).

This milestone reflects the dedication and perseverance of our team over the past two years (May 2024 – March 2026) in advancing our forest restoration work in Lipis. Throughout this period, TBR has remained committed to consistent post-planting care to ensure the survival and healthy growth of trees under the Greening Malaysia initiative, while also strengthening training programmes and collaboration with Orang Asli communities in Pos Betau to support their long-term socio-economic development alongside forest restoration efforts.

This achievement would not have been possible without the strong support of our partners, communities, and stakeholders. The grant granted is a true reflection of teamwork, shared vision, and collective commitment to restoring our forests and empowering local communities.

Thank you to everyone who has walked this journey with us. Together, we continue to grow greener futures. 🌱
