The findings presented in this report demonstrate that significant progress has been made towards achieving several national targets, with 14 out of 17 targets currently deemed on track for achievement by 2030. Central to this success is the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) Malaysia which actively drives cross-sectoral policies, institutional capacity enhancements, and robust resource mobilisation to address existing gaps."

Bagi kegunaan masakan, varieti seperti pisang Lang yang bersaiz panjang, pisang Nipah yang bertekstur halus serta pisang Nangka yang tahan simpan sering menjadi pilihan untuk digoreng atau dijadikan hidangan tradisional.
Selain itu, pisang Awak dan pisang Raja dikenali sebagai varieti dwi-kegunaan kerana boleh dimakan segar atau dimasak mengikut kesesuaian hidangan.
Tanaman pisang yang mudah ditanam di kawasan rumah atau kebun kecil boleh membantu meningkatkan bekalan makanan domestik dan mengurangkan kebergantungan kepada sumber luar.
