石斑魚是對一大類珊瑚礁魚類的統稱,種類繁多,全球約有超過400種。
Groupers are a general term for a large category of coral reef fishes, with a wide variety of species, numbering over 400 worldwide.
牠們的體型差異很大,從幾十公分的小型魚種到體長可超過兩公尺的巨型石斑都有。
Their sizes vary greatly, ranging from smaller species of just a few dozen centimeters to giant groupers that can exceed two meters in length.
石斑魚通常擁有粗壯的身體和寬闊的大嘴,使牠們能夠輕易吞下獵物。
