For more than thirty years, Madam Helen walked this journey by his side.
And in the final chapter of his life, she stayed beside him until the very end.
More than three decades as husband and wife—
from the days of their youth, to the years that slowly left their marks upon their faces.
Through all these years, there were moments of joy, hardship, and storms to weather.
But no matter how life changed, one thing never did: their companionship.
As he grew older and his health gradually weakened,
our Madam Helen, as his wife, brought him into the care environment she knew best,
where she could personally look after him and remain close by his side.
His meals, his water, his rest, his condition…
every little detail mattered to her.
Because the person she was caring for was not simply an elderly resident.
He was the man who had shared more than thirty years of her life.
he quietly reached the end of his journey.
There were few words in that moment.
Yet more than thirty years of memories seemed to come flooding back all at once.
The roads they had walked together,
the meals they had shared,
the ordinary days of life they had lived side by side…
In the end, perhaps it could all be summed up in just one sentence—
Thank you for walking through all these years with me.
The deepest kind of love
may not always be grand or dramatic.
Sometimes, love simply means that when you grow old,
when you become unwell,
and when you need someone the most—
I am still here beside you.
To grow old with you.
To care for you until the very end.
And to accompany you through the final chapter of your life.
A love like this no longer needs words to prove itself.
May you now be free from all pain and rest peacefully in the Lord’s embrace.
And may the love that endured for more than thirty years
remain forever in the hearts of everyone who knew you.
There is a kind of love called growing old together.
And there is a kind of farewell that says:
I gave you all the love I could, until the very end.
