(B) to carry out research on socio-economic issues and to publish the results and findings, and to organise lectures, seminars relating to contemporary issues.

MSRI or the Institute is registered with the Registrar of Companies under the Companies Act 1965.The objects for which the Institute is established are :

(A) to carry out humanitarian works for the benefit of the under-privileged, marginalised or vulnerable including Orang Asli, refugees and asylum-seekers in Malaysia. (C) to provide any forms of financial assistance to disadvantaged students to

pursue studies or research in higher institutions of learning in the field of social sciences. Cash donations to MSRI is tax deductible under subseksyen 44(6) Income Tax Act 1967, LHDN.
