Hey Gakis, it is me, your .
It has been almost 2 weeks since . While some of us caught the brunt of the haze and are still recovering, know that our team hasnโt stopped talking about you. For three days, you entrusted us with a little piece of your life. You brought to existence the characters you love, the artful masterpieces you create at 3am, the fun memories you make with your loved ones and strangers, and for some of you, perhaps simply the courage to walk through our doors and be yourself. That means more to us than we can properly put into words because if you must knowโฆ
18 years is a very long time.
Some of you who first came to AniManGaki as teenagers are now bringing your own mini meโs. Every year, we learn that some of you stayed the same, changed careers, built families or something cool of your own. Some of you we see almost every year, while others only discovered us that weekend.
Gakis, it has been a huge honour and privilege to grow alongside you. We know we are not perfect. There were things we could have done better this year, and there always will be room for improvement. We are sorry for the moments where we fell short, and we promise to look over and troubleshoot them.
Above all, we hope you don't ever lose sight of yourself. No matter what, remember that if ever life gets hard for you (trust me, with all that is going on with the world today), know that you can always come back to this space we built together, where we can still celebrate the things that made you happy and alive in the first place. Always choose to stay and keep shining, ok!
