(Kota Kinabalu, May 3) The highly anticipated annual running event — the “Jom! Malaysia-China 2026 ” — is set to make an energetic return!
Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah president Dr. Oh Ei Sun announced today that the popular event will flag off at 6am on July 26 in Kota Kinabalu, and is expected to attract a large crowd of participants to come together, break a sweat, and enjoy the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy living.
The event is organised by the Malaysia-China Friendship Association Sabah and proudly supported by internationally renowned sports and lifestyle footwear and apparel brand SKECHERS, promising to spark another wave of enthusiasm for healthy activities and fitness.
Meanwhile, organising chairman Michael Lim said the route spans approximately 7 kilometres, starting from the Kota Kinabalu Padang Merdeka and extending to the traffic roundabout outside the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque at Likas Bay before returning to the starting point. With the cool morning sea breeze and scenic surroundings, both professional runners and casual participants can enjoy a refreshing and relaxing running experience.
He added that this year’s event once again offers an exciting array of lucky draw prizes, with a total of 249 prizes worth RM43,608 up for grabs. The grand prize is a one-year supply of running shoes worth RM5,508 (RM459 worth of running shoes redeemable monthly for 12 consecutive months).
