This weekend, Bubbles of Hope FL partnered with Sarasota Bay Watch to help in real marine science!🔬
They went diving to collect and assess the lightning whelk population at a clam nursery before tagging a few and testing two methods of making them identifiable with Dr. Bassos-Hull from Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium .

What are whelks? 🐌
> They are predatory sea snails that breathe through gills
> They often use their shells as a crowbar to eat clams!
> They are prey to eagle rays, cod, octopus and starfish among others

With the sun shining and a pod of dolphins on the way there, it was an amazing opportunity and day overall for BOH leader Coco, Evan, Orion and Ziggy 🌊

Some raw clips I took underwater along the years. It might sound less dreamy without music but it's no less magical to me 💙

I know that I only saw a fraction of the marine life that New Caledonia has to offer so of course I'll have to come back to explore more!
Thank you Pierre and Océane for taking me to my very first manta ray, I won't ever forget it and now I know where to find you! 🌊

After a hot day in Noumea there is only one thing left to do really. Grab your sister, your bikini and go cool off at the "Baie des Citrons" aka "Lemon Bay". A sheltered beach stretching on one kilometre, facing a line of cafes, bars and restaurants. A very popular spot with a palm tree promenade where people jog, walk, swim/snorkel on one side and have drinks, dinner or just hang out on the other side.

PS: Not sure about the real origin of this name as I read different stories, if anyone knows please share.

I spend a lot of time in our beautiful waters but now I'll know to return to our forests that are just as incredible. Four days spent finding animals, setting up traps, night walking in the forest and going on boat rides for a bio trip, and it'll be one of my favourite souvenirs in Sabah 💚

Hands down Danau Girang Field Centre Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) for their relentless conservation and education work - it's truly inspiring to experience.
