WCT Holdings Berhad ("WCT" or "the Group") has launched its CSR initiative, WCTGives "Threads of Hope" in collaboration with Grace Community Services and Hazel & Nutz 🪡🧵✂️🧶

🪡🧵 This 2.5-month structured vocational sewing programme is designed to ensure that vulnerable low-income women in our community, from single mothers to widows to girls who have been overlooked by society, are given the opportunity to develop vocational skills that translate into sustainable income opportunities for themselves and their families.

🪡🧵 Because no one should be left behind.

🪡🧵 Every woman in this programme carries with her a longing to do more, to give more, and to have more. Not just for herself, but for her children and for the people she loves. Threads of Hope was built with her in mind, to walk alongside her, to equip her, and to remind her that her potential is far greater than her circumstances.

🪡🧵 For every investment made in a woman's education and well-being reaches far beyond her. It ripples out to her children, her family and her entire community. She has the ability to multiply. To build. To provide. To transform. This programme was built with that belief at its core.

A local non-governmental organisation (NGO) has made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for bringing together the “Most Number of Underprivileged Children in a Christmas celebration in Malaysia”.

Organised by Grace Community Services (GCS), “The Star of Christmas: No Child Left Behind” brought together 500 attendees, including 300 orphaned, homeless and refugee children from across the Klang Valley.

WCT Empowers Low-Income Women with Income-Generating Skills Through WCTGives “Threads of Hope”

PETALING JAYA, 18 MAY 2026 – WCT Holdings Berhad (“WCT” or “the Group”), an investment holding company with businesses in engineering and construction, property development, as well as investment in and management of retail malls, hotels, and business aviation, has launched its latest corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) initiative, WCTGives “Threads of Hope”, in collaboration with Grace Community Services (“GCS”) and Hazel & Nutz.

Dato’ Lee Tuck F**k, Group Managing Director of WCT, said, “At WCT, our WCTGives community initiatives are anchored in the belief that sustainable impact comes from enabling long-term self-reliance, not short-term assistance. WCTGives "Threads of Hope” reflects this approach by creating a structured pathway for women to build confidence, strengthen practical capabilities, and unlock opportunities for future economic independence."

Expressing the community’s appreciation, Dr Christina Qara Pillai, Chief Executive Officer of Grace Community Services, said, “We are grateful to WCT for their support in providing a meaningful and structured 11-week programme that directly benefits low-income women in our community. This initiative goes beyond a one-off intervention; it is a sustained commitment that gives participants the time, expert guidance, tools, and practical resources they need to build and strengthen their skills, grow in confidence, and work towards sustainable income-generating opportunities for themselves and their families.”
