Thanks Apa Khabar TV for the excellent coverage!

“This contribution is a vital lifeline for our patients. A single machine operates across two daily shifts, providing life-sustaining care to multiple individuals who otherwise might not have access to affordable treatment.”

As we reflect on our nearly 75-year legacy in Johor Bahru, we are reminded that our mission is about more than just medical care—it is about restoring the spirit of our community.

In many ways, the collaboration between RCJB and Pantech reflects a shared understanding—that true progress is not measured in grand declarations, but in quiet, consistent acts of care. Acts that a…

The Rotary Club of Johor Bahru (RCJB) Haemodialysis Centre today received a brand-new haemodialysis machine and vital financial support from Pantech Stainless & Alloy Industries Sdn Bhd. We extend our deepest appreciation to Pantech for this generous contribution, which significantly reinforce our mission to provide affordable healthcare to Johor Bahru community. The contribution directly addresses the critical need for affordable treatment for underprivileged kidney failure patients in the region.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Director Mr Alfred Lim, accompanied by representatives Ms Loo and Ms Kate, while the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru was represented by Past President Ng Swee Poh and Rotarian Joe Pua.

During the visit, the Pantech leadership team was given a comprehensive tour of the facility, where they engaged with staff to learn about the centre's operational challenges and spent time greeting patients currently undergoing treatment. This initiative forms a core part of Pantech’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) philosophy, aiming to bridge the gap in access to life-sustaining medical care.

“We deeply appreciate this contribution, which ensures continued access to essential care for our patients,” said a representative from RCJB. “As we celebrate nearly 75 years of establishment in Johor Bahru, partnerships like this allow us to continue our legacy of being a beacon of hope for the B40 community”.

The RCJB Haemodialysis Centre has been providing subsidised care for over 35 years. Given the high operating expenses involved in running the facility, the club remains heavily reliant on corporate partnerships to sustain its mission of "Service Above Self".

Sharing Blessings and Festive Joy at PPR Sri Stulang! 🕌🎁

This morning, the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru (RCJB) visited PPR Sri Stulang for our annual Hari Raya Charity Giving initiative. As the festive season approaches, we believe in ensuring that every family can celebrate with dignity and a full heart.

For this year's project, we reached out to 35 recipients, primarily single mothers, providing them with bags of essential groceries and Duit Raya. This annual tradition is more than just a donation; it is our way of standing in solidarity with needy families, easing their burdens so they can focus on the joy of the upcoming celebrations. 🌙

Led by President Chin Kuie Too, our dedicated team included PP Dato Mohd Noh, Rtn Fiona (Community Service Chair), Rtn Benedict, Rtn Joe Pua, and PP Shamim. It was truly heartening to see the smiles and the spirit of Muhibbah in the air! 🤝🌟

Inspirational weekly meeting at the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru featuring a moving talk by Dr Sharon Anne Khor on the vital role of neurorehabilitation. Her insights remind us that with the right care and compassion, there is always hope for recovery and independence after life-altering injuries.

Rotarians expressed appreciation for a talk that had opened their eyes to a field of medicine often hidden behind hospital walls.

When Every Minute Matters ⏱️❤️

Thank you Apa Khabar TV for covering the talk on heart health recently hosted by the Rotary Club of Johor Bahru (RCJB).

The article, titled "When Every Minute Matters: Cardiologist’s Lifesaving Message Strikes a Chord in Johor Bahru", perfectly captures the urgency of the session delivered by Dr. Ng Kim Fong, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist.

Dr. Ng’s key message was simple but vital: "Time lost is heart muscle lost." He reminded us that in a medical emergency, early recognition and timely treatment are what stand between life and death.

The Rotary Club of Johor Bahru (RCJB) thanks apakhabartv.com for covering the insightful address delivered by our recent guest speaker, Keith Thong, during club weekly meeting on the crucial topic of human capital investment.

Mr. Thong delivered a powerful message: "Food sustains people for a day. Education sustains them for life." He urged us to shift focus from short-term relief to long-term investment in education technology, which he called the fastest way to bridge social gaps between communities.

Mr. Thong highlighted the critical need for educators to embrace AI and technology to ensure students remain competitive, stressing that the cost of scaling learning becomes almost negligible with technology.
