The Lions Club of George Town successfully conducted a handover ceremony on 29 May 2026 at the Pediatric Oncology Ward C3 of Penang General Hospital for the donation of essential medical equipment in support of pediatric cancer care.

The donated equipment, a total contribution value of RM10,300.00, comprised two units of MindRay BeneFusion iVP Infusion Pumps and one unit of MindRay VS-600 Digital Pulse Oximeter with Basic Trolley. The contribution is aimed at assisting the medical team in delivering better monitoring and treatment support for young cancer patients undergoing care at the ward.

Representing the Lions Club of George Town were President Dato’ Gulab Mahatam Rai, Club Secretary Lion Anthony Chow, Lion Por Chun Hau, Lion Tan Kheng Liat, Lion Ricky Khoo, and Lion Dato’ Seri Lawrence Cheah.

Receiving the donated equipment was Dr Goh Him Kwang, Director of Penang General Hospital, together with Dr Yeoh, Consulting Doctor of the Pediatric Oncology Ward C3.

The Lions Club of George Town remains committed to serving the community and supporting meaningful healthcare initiatives that benefit patients and families in need.

A meaningful celebration filled with love, laughter, and the spirit of giving. This year, we were honoured to have a wonderful turnout of cabinet officers and Lions dignitaries, joining us to spread the true essence of Deepavali. 🌟

Our early celebration marked the beginning of the Festival of Lights, brightened by the cheerful smiles and happy laughter of the children from Ramakrishna and Shan Home. Their joy truly lit up our day! 🪔💖
