*Thevaram Training Classes by MHS Georgetown Local Council (MHSGLC)*

Thevaram Training Classes 2026 Organized by Malaysia Hindu Sangam Georgetown Local Council (MHSGLC) conducted special Thevaram training classes for students who will be representing the Georgetown Local Council at the State Thirumurai Competition. Students actively participated in the classes, learning the correct pronunciation, melody, and devotional significance of Thevaram hymns. The training sessions were conducted by *Mr. V. Sivabalan* , who generously shared his knowledge, experience, and dedication with the students.
MHSGLC extends its heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to Mr. V. Sivabalan for rendering his valuable service and commitment in preparing our students for the State Thirumurai Competition. May our students continue to excel in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Thirumurai and Thevaram.

48th Thirumurai Recital Festival

The 48th Thirumurai Recital Festival 2026 was officially inaugurated in the esteemed presence of YB RSN Rayer, Member of Parliament for Jelutong and Chairman of the Penang Hindu Endowment Board, together with Viveka Ratna A. Tharman, PKT, PJK, PJM, Chairman of Malaysia Hindu Sangam Penang State Council, and Mr. B. Senthilkumar, PJM, Chairman of Malaysia Hindu Sangam Georgetown Local Council.

The ceremony was also attended by Malaysia Hindu Sangam Penang State Council EXCOs, Malaysia Hindu Sangam Georgetown Local Council EXCOs, Thirumurai Working Committee members, judges, Malaysia Hindu Sangam members, devoted parents, and our young Thirumurai participants, marking a meaningful beginning to a day dedicated to preserving and celebrating the sacred legacy of Thirumurai.

The festival is still ongoing until this evening. Visitors are warmly invited to join us, explore our booths, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, and support the event by purchasing Lucky Draw tickets, which are still available. Exciting prizes await the lucky winners!
