The visit was attended by 30 participants from TAM Penang, TAM Kedah/Perlis and IEM Penang, providing an excellent platform for technical learning, industry engagement and professional networking.
โ€‹
Participants gained first-hand exposure to the hub's integrated logistics infrastructure, including the Bukit Kayu Hitam Inland Clearance Depot (BKH-ICD), free-zone warehousing, cross-docking facilities, cargo consolidation, container stripping operations, and technology-enabled management and security systems.
โ€‹
The visit also provided insights into how inland-port facilities support cross-border trade and supply-chain efficiency, as well as the development of the Delapan Border Special Economic Zone. Participants had the opportunity to observe the facilities and better understand the infrastructure and operational considerations behind an integrated logistics hub.

The trip provided a relaxed opportunity to enjoy good food, casual sightseeing and friendly interaction, allowing members from both organisations to strengthen their connections and camaraderie beyond the professional setting.

TAM Penang 2025/26 12th Branch Committee Meeting was conducted in hybrid mode at Wu Jia Restaurant.

TAM Penang successfully conducted its Pre-AGM Technical Talk, delivered by Dato Prof Ir. Ts. Dr. Eric Goh Kok Hoe, followed by the 79th Branch Annual General Meeting and the 1st Branch Committee Meeting for the 2026/2027 session at Wu Jia Restaurant. The newly elected TAM Penang Branch Committee Members for the 2026/2027 term officially commenced their duties following the Branch AGM. A total of 48 participants attended the Branch AGM.
