Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Hulu Langat (PKKI) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation operating a Day Training Centre for children with the objective of helping children who are mentally and physically challenged due to hereditary, prenatal or post-natal and other complications. PKKI was founded by a group of parents with special needs children as they had nowhere and no one to turn to for help. Established in September 1995, and registered with ROS as a non-profit and non-governmental organisation (NGO), under the Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Negeri Selangor. OUR AIMS

- To train children with special needs to live as independently as their abilities allow.
- To teach parents and care-givers so that they can continue the training at home.
- To bring about a greater awareness of the needs of the disabled.
- To bring about greater integration acceptance by the public, and better integration of the disbaled into the community. OUR PROGRAMME

- Early Intervention Programme (EIP).
- Individual and group teaching.
- Pre kinder for selected children.
- Pre-Vocational for selected children.
- Therapy programmes provided as needed (subject to the availability of these specialist). OUR NEEDS

We were delighted to welcome teachers from Sequoia International School to our centre for a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival visit.

As part of their visit, the students thoughtfully prepared and made mooncakes themselves and brought them to share with our children. The children were delighted to receive these special homemade treats, knowing that they were made with care and love by the students. ❤️

In addition to the mooncakes, Sequoia International School also made a generous monetary donation to support our centre and the children under our care.

We sincerely appreciate the time, effort and kindness shown by the teachers and students. Their visit not only brought delicious mooncakes, but also brought smiles, warmth and joy to our children.

🌱 Finally, it’s harvest time! ❤️

With the guidance and patience of their teachers, PKKI students have been learning planting — another meaningful skill for them to develop.

🌱 Learning a skill today can open a door for their future.

We hope that one day, the children will be able to put their skills to use and earn some income to support their daily living expenses, while building greater confidence, independence and dignity.

Every little achievement is worth celebrating. 👏❤️

The teachers and students of PKKI came together to celebrate National Day in a fun and meaningful way. ❤️

Through these simple celebrations, our children learn about the Jalur Gemilang, understand the meaning of National Day, and develop a sense of patriotism, belonging and love for our country.

Regardless of our abilities or how fast we grow and learn, **every child is a precious part of Malaysia.** 🇲🇾

Let us be grateful for the opportunity to live in this beautiful, diverse and caring country.
