For us at Rumah Destiny even small gifts from individuals or sponsors means much to us.

Today Sis Sharon Chen, a member of Metro Tabernacle
donated a box filled with packets of ready to eat red bean soup to Rumah Destiny.
For us it means savings for breakfast or tea time.
It is handy because it is ready to eat and can be served hot or cold.

"It takes a village to raise a child."
RD today celebrate the power of our community. How lives are transformed when our community comes together to serve and care.

Mr. Gunasegaran own a shop Segar Gas Trading distributing cooking gas to households and restaurants.
He has been faithfully sponsoring cooking gas to RD for a couple of years already. Sometimes its one or two tanks of cooking gas per month for RD's consumption.

Recently Mr.Gunasegaran wanted to do more for RD. He noticed that the fingers of one of RD's girl Esther was badly scorched by hot oil when she tried to retrieve nugget from the wok of hot boiling oil when she was young while her mum was cooking at home.

Mr.Gunasegaran brought Esther to see a Specialist Doctor, a Consultant in Plastic Surgery in Subang Jaya. After consultation, it was estimated the surgery would cost around RM15K to RM20K. The good news is that Mr.Gunasegaran was willing to sponsor the entire cost of the surgery.
Esther's mum was overjoyed that she broke down in tears.

We at RD was overwhelmed by his kind gesture. We will not be able to thank him enough.
I really don't know what to say.
I just look up and say thanked God. My prayers has been answered.
As for me, all the child welfare is so important to me. My heart's desire is the best for them.

Today, I felt privileged to be at Kingsway International Secondary School.

I was invited by Sis Serrena Raymond who was the teacher in charge of the Entrepreneurs' Club to receive some donation raised during a recent Food Sale at the school.
The cash was passed to Bro Khoo by Mdm Doreen, the Principal of Kingsway International School.

Bro Khoo was also given the opportunity to share a brief information about Rumah Destiny.
Rumah Destiny is also touch by students of English Class Y7 and Y9 for writing notes to wish RD's children well with words of encouragement.

Thank you teachers and students of Kingsway International School for blessing us.

One of the beautiful things about letting birth parents know is that we're on their side.
We want to be close to them and to keeps our relationship with them warm till the day of reunification.

We are regularly in contact with them and to do everything we can to show parents respect.

I don't always do this perfectly but my goal is always for them to know that their child is in a safe, loving home that will encourage and respect their relationship with one another.

We want RD children to fully love their own parents.

At Rumah Destiny we know that parenting is heart work.

At Rumah Destiny, we know that what we give, don't always return back. But we give because of who we are. We believe kindness, love and generosity are not transactions. They are reflections of our true nature. When we help a child, even when no one notices or gives anything back, we at RD are still shaping who we become on the inside. That's our nature, God' nature of unconditional love.

With his mother’s consent, David has chosen to follow the Lord in obedience. May his life continue to grow in faith, love, and grace.

Community Day at Metro Tabernacle was to expose church members to three social concern ministries namely, Rumah Destiny Children's Home, Pertubuhan Komuniti Kasih Selangor (Orang Asli) and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Destiny Metro (Hope Ministry & Food Bank)

Sometimes it is so amazing how friends found us through the Facebook. This is exactly how Bro Terence Chong of TC Music Enterprise found Rumah Destiny Children'sHome.

Rumah Destiny Children's Home is deeply thankful to Bro Terence Chong for his generous donation of an acoustic guitar. This meaningful gift will bring joy, encouragement, and opportunities for the children to learn and express themselves through music. Thank you, Bro Terence, for your kindness and support in making a positive difference in their lives.

This is a timely gift for RD'S eldest girl Miriam who is already serving in Metro Tabernacle Tamil Ministry in guitar.

Happiness is meeting David, who was staying at Rumah Destiny Children's Home more than 25 years ago. At that time our home was in Taman Melawati.

From a young boy of six years old, David is now a fine gentleman doing well in life. He is the Security Manager at a local hotel.
At first, he studied Culinary Arts course at Flamingo Hotel, then joined the Malaysian Arm Forces in Air TrafficControl and finally further study to achieve a Diploma in Hotel Management.
His wife is a teacher and he has three boys.
Meeting him at Metro Tabernacle on a Father's Day bring much joy to us at Rumah Destiny.

Look at what the Lord has done! I can only said, Thank You Lord. Thank you all supporters and sponsors.

happiness is receiving delicious Bak Chang from a kind-hearted ĥiker friend Jamie Yeo. It is not just about enjoying the traditional rice dumpling, but also appreciating the thoughtfulness and friendship behind the gesture. She has been a huge blessing RD with gifts of cookies and pastry during CNY, Deepavali, Moon Cake Festival and now the Chinese Dumbling Season.. Thank you so much for your kind gesture.
