Happiness is seeing our Children at Rumah Destiny finishing well in Education.

Our mission is to empower all our children at Rumah Destiny through education.

We pick them up in difficult environment often without education. We send them back to school.
We nuture them from young in numeracy and literacy, having inhouse tutors to teach them, send them for tuition outside, groom them well in their studies. We keep track of their achievement.

Sarah has graduate from VTar with skills in hair dressing. She is now working in an established Hair Studio.

Miriam is doing well, finishing her Degree in Graphic Design at BAC.

Rachael is furthering her studies at TAR UMT. She is doing a Diploma in Business Administration.

This is what Rumah Destiny is trying to achieve. Every boys and girls passing through our doors should have finished their tertiary education and be independent, to escape from the vicious cycle of poverty.

With your support and prayer, we aspire to do that.

Rumah Destiny Children's Home

"Old age has nothing to do with regret. It has everything to do the satisfaction of having left behind something well done."

It is not the years that define us but the traces we leave behind.

An underpriviledged child raise with kindness. Taken in without education, reregistered back to school, groom and nurture, now a graduate .

A word that lifted a fallen soul. Neglected, abused in all sorts, not in school, then rescued, comforted, prayed for, given plenty of love, and reassurance to receive education again. Healing slowly takes place. Child know she is in safe place now, fully restored with a gentle smile on the face. Can now look forward to a bright future, fully supported into tertially education.

A table set with love, proper meals on the table, laughter all round, freedom to talk and express freely. Feeling of being love and joy is evident.

A hand extended in time, hearts may be broken, emotions hurt. Dad in his daily drukenness is an abuser and commit hurtful things. There is fear of this figure. Child rescued, admitted into our home and raise up with security, and love in our home, fully restored and make whole again.

After doing this for more than twenty years, was our journey tough. It was real tough, humanly quite impossible. We manage to do it because we were divinely strenghten spiritually, physically and emotionly.
But we were not afraid of being weak because we have a strong God.

For us Caregivers at Rumah Destiny,
"When life is not a bed of roses, we look to the person who wore the thorn of roses... Jesus Christ."

Rumah Destiny Children's Home

Sometimes its amazing how God works. Our home computer printer suddenly went out of order after serving us for about five years. It was heavily used by our children for school and college asignments.

The timing was great when we receieved a donation of new printer from my good friend Bro TC Lim.

Happiness are the children of Rumah Destiny.

I am thankful to my hiker friend, Jamie Yeo, who want to bless Rumah Destiny.

For the Chinese New Year, she bake CNY cookies for Rumah Destiny's Children and Staff and packed them in beautiful gifts containers . The children and Home Parents were each given CNY Ang Pow.

Rumah Destiny appreciate her kind gestures. We truly are thankful her kindness.
It warms our heart to know fd there are friends out there who cares and love us.

Rumah Destiny is delighted to welcome several friends from PAS Gombak, visiting us this evening. Among our guest were
Ust Hasbullah Ridzwan, Timb Yang Dipertua PAS Gombak. Puan Masita Abdullah, Pengerusi Lkk Pas Gombak, Pn Sarojinee Ketua Dhpp Gombak dan Ajk Dhpp.
This group having been visiting us for the last few years.
Our visitors hosted dinner for our children and staff.
Later Ust Hasbullah distributed New Year Ang Pow to all our children.

Rumah Destiny appreciate your visit to our humble home. We say a big "Terima Kasih" and wish all of you well.

Bro Christopher Raj has been a tremendous blessing to Rumah Destiny.
His consistent personal support and encouragement to us has been huge. Can't really thank him enough.

Bro Christopher has even linked us up Datuk Cyrus
Das a prominent lawyer in our country. Datuk Cyrus is now also a staunce supporter of Rumah Destiny.

Through Bro Christopher, Datuk Cyrus is sponsoring all our children's school uniform, socks and shoes.
Datuk Cyrus is also sponsoring a Pre-Christmas Dinner for all our children and HomeParents.

So this evening we are at Pasaraya Ekonomi Berjaya to do the purchases of school uniforms, socks and shoes. The Pasaraya boss after discovering we are from a children's home gave us further discount for our purchases.
Later we went to Restaurant Sin Kee for a chinese dinner. Thank you so much Datuk Cyrus Das.

Even as the year comes to an end, Rumah Destiny has been extremely busy.
Much effort and expenditure was incured shifting to our present place, paying for new fixtures, equipping our children for new term in school. With 13 boys and girls under our care it was financially quite draining.

Somehow, God saw our needs and heard our prayers for help. We jump for joy when the Chinese Ministry of Metro Tabernacle and its members did a donation drive for us to contribute in kind to Rumah Destiny Children's Home.

Today, we received much food provisions, toiletries and detergents from Pastor Allen, leader of Metro Chinese Ministry. Many thanks Pastor Allen and to your members. It means much to us. Your love shown to us is much appreciated. Our children has been told of this Christmas Gifts that comes especially from your members. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to all of them.

Rumah Destiny Children's Home.

Huge,thanks to Sis Jennifer Chandran and her Life Group at Bukit Damansara for inviting Rumah Destiny's Children and Staff for Christmas Lunch this afternoon.
The children had a great time with sumptous food, singing Christmas Carols and receiving Christmas gifts. Children enjoyed all the games that was organized for them.

Its a heart warming time and feeling for our children to be remembered for a festive season like this.
Thank you Sis Jennifer Chandran and all members of her Life Group.

Rumah Destiny Children's Home rejoices with our very own Home Parents Bro Senthil Kumar and Sis Sasikala Nadarajah who celebrated their 25 th Wedding Anniversary.
Together with them in their celebration is Pas John, Pas Esther leaders of the Tamil Church Metro Tabernacle and Pas Jayaraj Thomas Samuel the Treasurer of Rumah Destiny and family members. It was a small gathering yet so meaningful registering 10 years with Rumah Destiny.. A great milestone in their life and also with us friends.
Our best prayer for them this day is that the Lord will continue to bless their relationship, their love for all the children of RD. The Lord will continue to make His to shine upon them, bless the work of their hands and fulfill the very desires of their hand.
Amen.

It's quite amazing how some friends in the community found us.
Bro Sri Ruban and Sis Shahlini found us through RD Facebook.
It's Shahlini's Birthday. Both of them decided celebrate the joyous occasion with the boys and girls of Rumah Destiny.
They sponsored dinner for the children and staff.
They also presented gifts and Depavali Ang pow to all the children and staff.

Thank you Sri Ruban, Sis Shahlini and family members for bringing so much joy to the children of Rumah Destiny.
