Impian Remaja

Impian Remaja Numerous articles and reports had shown that the education level of youth from these PPR households is even more affected during the time of the pandemic.

Impian Remaja, under the umbrella of GENIUS Remaja, works with the PPR community to provide the underprivileged B40 youths equal access to education through the academic foster program and continual empowerment Our Concern
In the current era of endless poverty, many social groups are affected and marginalised, especially the PPR community residing in big cities like Kuala Lumpur. This is evident a

s the latest poverty line income has been increased to RM2,208 income per household in late 2019, making more people to be included in this economic bubble. The livelihood and financial position of this community, especially in the education and nutritional preparedness for their children to succeed in schools are in an even more dire state. We are here to address these issues to improve their children’s quality of education and quality of life. Our Target Beneficiaries
Underprivileged Youth in the PPR and nearby communities in Kuala Lumpur
Our main objective is to meet their basic needs, particularly in the face of COVID-19 pandemic. The PPR community is known to have a much lower household income than the proposed B40 group income range in Malaysia (less than RM4,850/month). This community is currently facing extreme poverty and has bad living conditions as they live in cramped small houses with big families and have a monthly income lower than RM3,000. PPR community is deprived of having a proper standard of living. Most kids are unable to go to school due to financial constraints and it is a norm in the family that the parents do not prioritise education like others. Hence, this is why the school dropout rate is high among them and academic importance is not eccentric in their lives. Most of the parents in this community are even more affected due to the pandemic despite receiving help and basic supplies from our government and NGOs. Their standard of living is still nowhere close to the acceptable living standard in spite of all the rendered assistance. It is our grandest vision to ease their burden and improve their quality of life, especially for the PPR school-goers. Enriching the At-Risk Youths
In the pursuit of enriching the quality of life of these at-risk youth, we stand united in our belief that equipping B40 youth with a strong presence in the society is truly essential to this mission. We extend our arms to give these B40 youths the chance to rejoice in their passion for their upcoming job frontier. Ultimately, we strongly believe that we would rather balance their socio-economic conditions by giving them the competitive advantage of competing in a pool of other performing youths out there. Our Foreseeable Improvements
Impian Remaja is broad-minded in a way that we truly look forward to a foreseeable improvement towards our project. This is because we believe that continuous advancement will guarantee the sustainability of this project, in the long run, to cater to a more diversified segmentation of the community out there.

1. Impian Remaja envisions to expand the developed mutualistic and cooperative social model to reach the affected youth in other distressed communities across the country.

2. Impian Remaja will continuously improve the provision list for the B40 youths. The provision list is to be reliable, relevant and resourceful to the needs of the B40 youth unceasingly.
