🐾 🐾 Coming Back to the East Cape This Fall? You Can Help SNAP Get Ready for Clinic Season 💙

As friends and neighbors return to Los Barriles and the East Cape region, we’re stocking supplies for SNAP’s upcoming free community spay and neuter clinics. If you have a little extra room in your luggage or vehicle, we’d be grateful for:

🐶 Dog collars in small, medium and large, preferably with simple plastic clip buckles. Please avoid belt-style or pin-and-hole collars.
🦮 Dog leashes
🐾 X- large p*e pads (we cut in half to make them go further)

P*e pads help keep animals clean and comfortable during surgery and recovery.
Collars and leashes go to pet owners who need them to safely transport and care for their animals. Every donated item is one less supply SNAP needs to buy, leaving more funding for surgeries.

We’re also collecting new or gently used fishing, sports and beach gear for our community garage sale on Sunday, November 29.
Sale proceeds will support upcoming clinics and our goal of providing spay and neuter surgeries for 2,400 animals over the next 12 months.

If you’d like to contribute supplies or garage sale items, please send us a message. Thank you for helping us care for animals and the East Cape communities they call home. 💙

🐾 One of our long time supporters, Dan Clemens, has challenged the East Cape community to match his $10,000 USD donation to SNAP East Cape by November 1!
The FULL match of his donation would cover the cost of 571 spay or neuter surgeries…

Dan remembers arriving in Los Barriles when stray dogs seemed to outnumber people. He’s seen how years of spay and neuter work have changed life for animals across our communities, and now he’s asking all of us to help keep that progress going.

Can we raise another $10,000 USD together? Every contribution brings us closer to the match and helps SNAP provide free spay and neuter services for dogs and cats across the East Cape.

Thank you, Dan, for your generosity and for believing in SNAP’s mission. 💙

Who’s with him? Who’s with us?
Donate at snapeastcape.org and help us reach the goal by November 1! 🐶🐱

Es mucho más que prevenir camadas: también ayuda a proteger la salud y el bienestar de los animales, contribuye a comunidades más tranquilas y seguras, y ayuda a proteger la fauna silvestre de Baja Sur.

🐾 We Need Your Help!

This summer, SNAP East Cape's FREE 1-month dose of flea & tick medication incentive for families who chose to spay or neuter their pets was an incredible success. FIVE HUNDRED pet owners took advantage of the program, helping us prevent countless unwanted litters while improving the health of animals throughout our communities.

The response exceeded all of our expectations, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who made it possible. Community members stepped up in remarkable ways—helping neighbors, friends, and family from communities across the East Cape access our program. Many volunteered their time to arrange transportation or accompany pet owners who otherwise had no way to reach SNAP's partner veterinary clinic, ensuring more cats and dogs could receive the spay or neuter surgery they needed.

However, August through October are traditionally the slowest months of the year for donations, and after such a busy summer, we need your support more than ever.

At SNAP East Cape, our goal is to provide 2,400 free spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs over the next 12 months.

Every donation entrusted to us is a responsibility we take seriously.

As a 100% volunteer-run and donor-funded organization, we don't simply choose communities at random. We spend countless hours meeting with local delegations, speaking with community members, and identifying where the need is greatest. By focusing our large-scale clinics in areas with high numbers of unsterilized animals, we create the greatest long-term impact for both animals and the people who share these communities.

💚 Just $35 USD provides one spay or neuter surgery.

One surgery prevents future litters, reduces suffering, improves animal welfare, and helps create healthier, safer communities across the East Cape.

If you've been thinking about supporting SNAP, now is the perfect time. Your donation today helps ensure we can continue offering free surgeries when our community needs them most.

Together, we can change thousands of lives—one surgery at a time.

🐾 Please help us continue this important work.

Protecting Baja starts with sterilization. 💙

Sterilizing cats does more than prevent unwanted litters—it helps protect native wildlife, reduces animal suffering, and creates healthier communities. Every surgery is a step toward a better future for Baja California Sur.

Together, we can protect cats, wildlife, and the place we all call home. 🐾🌵
