ENDING 2025 WITH PURPOSE: A CALL TO THE YOUTHS, COMMUNITY & PARTNERS TO COLLABORATE WITH CHAMANZA

As 2025 comes to an end and 2026 is almost here, Chamanza Community Foundation would like to appreciate our donors, partners, stakeholders and the entire community for the support rendered to us in 2025 which saw us accomplishing a number of projects such as construction of Sanitation Facilities at Njolomole Primary school, successful implementation of the Mwana Wamzako education initiative that provided education support including fees to over 15 students as well as collection of over 700 books for its Mwana Wamzako donate a book campaign. The foundation therefore calls upon the general community, youths, business people, the private sector and son and daughters of T/A Njolomole and the entire Ntcheu district to rise and take an active role in shaping the future of our community.
For so long, Chamanza has been implementing community led projects which are designed by the community and take a leading role in the ex*****on, monitoring and ensuring sustainability of the projects. The foundation has achieved this because it does not impose projects but rather listen, collaborate and act together with the people. As a community foundation, our work is rooted in local giving and community philanthropy because we strongly believe that sustainable development starts with community ownership.
Our interventions are not donor-driven or externally imposed, they are informed by a community-led needs assessment conducted which we update on year basis in all the targeted areas of GVH Golozera, Kalanzi, Kadzakalowa, and Kacheyo under where we are currently implementing our interventions ensuring that every initiative responds to real priorities identified by the community itself.

As an organization that is deep rooted in the area, we believe we are the best option that you as an individual, private actor, NGO and even government can collaborate and work with in the area of T/A Njolomole and many parts of Ntcheu district for effective outcomes. As a foundation that is rooted in local giving and other fundraising activities, we have realized that every resource in our community marks the genesis of sustainable development. It will be very great if you choose to collaborate and channel your resources through us because:

FOCUS AREAS INCLUDE:
Our key areas of focus include; Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (YSRH), Environment conservation Climate Change Response, Education, Youth and Women Economic Empowerment, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Human Rights and Good Governance. We believe that if your resources, knowledge and skills are rightly channeled to the community through us to work in any of these areas, we will together achieve the best for the betterment of the area of T/A Njolomole and entire Ntcheu district.

We emphasize on the need for Young people to realize that they are not beneficiaries but partners and leaders of development. Their energy, ideas, skills and voice are critical in building an empowered and inclusive society where development is owned and sustained by the community.

As a community foundation that is rooted in local giving and community philanthropy for sustainable development, we believe that community members, business persons, private institutions and sons and daughters of the community but in the diaspora makes a very strong base for project support and are calling for their support by channeling their resources, energy, skills, and wisdom to the community through us. By doing so, you will strengthen local ownership, transparency, and long-term impact. A very beautiful 1 day Co-creation exercise that Mudzi Connect together with Community Foundations had. It was a one day event that brought together the CFs at Bridgeview hotel to celebrate their achievements, refine the vision and develop a strategy for the coming years.
Both Mudzi and CFs shared what have been achieved and the challenges encountered as well as how to strengthen their approach to ensure successful implementation and effective collaboration with communities and other stakeholders.

From this Co-creation exercise which Chamanza was represented by its Executive Director and Head of Programs, suggested approaches that will enhance CFs visibility, sustainability as well as to become a reliable partner/stakeholder at community and district level.

While many people depend on forest resources as a source of Income, we have taken a new approach to it.
Trees have been cut to support household and personal needs leading to increased deforestation.
Our approach as Chamanza is the same; "making money using trees". We dont cut a tree, we raise a tree and sell as a seedling. It is more profitable, it is environmental friendly, is does not require a lot of land, it is sustainable, it contributes to environmental conservation.
While one is cutting a tree as a source of income, we are raising a tree for similar purpose. Our youths are into this and can testify the profits and the sustainability of making Green and Clean Money.

Let's conserve the environment. We are the Front-liners in Climate Justice. Invest in green and Clean money.

Chamanza has joined an invite by His Royal Majesty Ngwenyama Inkosi Ya Makhosi Gomani V and Her Royal Highness Khanyisa Rishaladza Gomani V together with the organizing committee of the 2025 uMuhlangano wa Maseko Ngoni to this years uMuhlangano that will take place from 4th to 6th September 2025.

In collaboration with Family Planning Association of Malawi , Ntcheu office, we hosted youths from GVH Golozera, T/A Njolomole with Chipatala cha achinyamata.
On this day, Youth accessed Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health information and services. It was an interactive and educative session and youth really enjoyed. Remember access to sexual and Reproductive Health information is a fundamental right.

Capacity strengthening.
We appreciate the timely delivered capacity strengthening exercises by Mudzi Connect which has deepen our understanding in needs assessment, problem-cause-effect analysis, finance management and reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation i.e. developing the M&E framework and the Logical framework.
