Today will go down as a memorable day in the history of the Church and Society Programme, CCAP Synod of Livingstonia as it launches a key document in the running of the CSP. The 2026-2031 Strategic Plan is being launched in Mzuzu at an auspicious occasion that is graced by people from all walks of life, with the Moderator-Elect Rev Wisdom Mwale being the guest of honour.

The Strategic Plan outlines CSPs vision, theory of change and the strategies put in place to ensure attainment of its vision and mission. This will guide implementation of programmes and guide activities it engages in during the course of the next 5 years.

The launch comes at a time Church and Society Programme is moving to re-emphasize its position as a key stakeholder advancing justice, governance, human rights and development programming at national level.

Church and Society Programme, CCAP Synod of Livingstonia was privileged to join Tilitonse Foundation on a Learning Session (Pause and Reflect) for the Civil Society Strengthening Fund (CSSF) Grant Partners held from 19th to 20th February 2026 at Mzuzu Hotel.

The meeting brought together grant partners under the CSSF to reflect on year one implementation, draw lessons and agree on priorities and adaptations as implementation continues.

The meeting gave an opportunity to Church and Society Programme to share successes and challenges encountered during implementation of the activities under the programme with other grant partners. It also enabled partners to co-create solutions to the challenges to ensure smooth programming going forward.

The five year CSSF programme is being implemented by Tilitonse Foundation in partnership with Comic Relief and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom (UK Aid).

The Church and Society Programme, CCAP Livingstonia Synod joins the nation in commemorating the World AIDS Day which falls today on 1st December every year. As a faith based organisation fighting for justice and equality for all, we will continue with the fight against stigma for those infected and affected by HIV. Religious leaders hold a key position in ensuring we end AIDS as a public health threat.
Together we can end AIDS!

The past two weeks a team from Church and Society Programme, CCAP Livingstonia Synod has been working in the hard to reach areas of Rumphi and Karonga, braving the scorching sun interviewing project participants. The annual household survey, which falls under the Child, Youth and Community for Change (CYCC) Project funded by Transform Aid International, is aimed at meeting children and their parents to check on project progress. These respondents act as our contacts to determine if there are changes that are being felt at household, community levels in the course of our programming. This enables CSP to make data-informed decisions and adjustments to the project to ensure its goals are met.
