Sustainable Development is possible when local grassroots stakeholders are involved!!

Yesterday, we met with ADC Committee members from Senior Chief Juma at Namphungo Telecentre.
The meeting focused on encouraging local people to take part in developmental activities in the area.
We further discussed on ways we can work together to ensure that projects delivered are sustainable.

NADEF recently held a stakeholder engagement meeting with local leaders, chiefs, and community members to discuss and mobilise contributions towards the construction of toilets and girls’ changing rooms at Luwangwa Primary School, project being supported from Mudzi Connect.

At NADEF, we believe in working with communities, not for communities, by promoting participation, ownership, and locally driven solutions.

Today, we have repaired our 6th borehole in Drawesi Village, Traditional Authority Juma, Mulanje District. This borehole serves 270 households.

We sincerely appreciate our partner, the Luena Foundation, for making this important project possible.

To date, with support from the Luena Foundation, we have repaired and renovated 10 boreholes.

However, 12 boreholes in our communities remain broken down, and people are struggling to access clean water. We therefore request your support. Any support whether big or small, will help bring water back to our people and will impact more lives!!
