We are proud to introduce the first Bhubesi Pride Foundation Clubs for Development (C4D) Coach Cohort, a passionate team of community coaches selected and appointed to inspire, mentor and empower young people through sport.

These 30 coaches will soon begin their training before leading activities in their respective communities, creating safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, build confidence and unlock their potential.

Please join us in congratulating our new coaches as they begin this exciting journey of service, leadership and positive impact.

Safeguarding is not a one-time activity, it is an ongoing commitment. Following our Safeguarding Lead's participation in the Safe Sport Conference, today we are undertaking a safeguarding assessment using the Assessing Safeguarding in Sport Tracker (ASSIST) Tool. This process will help us identify areas where our safeguarding practices are strong, areas that require further development, and opportunities to strengthen the systems that protect the children and young people we work with. At Bhubesi Pride Foundation - Malawi NGO, we believe that every child and young person deserves to participate in sport and community programs in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. By regularly reviewing and improving our safeguarding practices, we are ensuring that the wellbeing, protection and best interests of children remain at the heart of everything we do.

The day is finally here!!!
Today, we have brought together more than 50 children with and without disabilities from Lilongwe Demonstration School, Hippos Rugby Club, and Bhubesi Pride Foundation - Malawi NGO Clubs for Development Program for an inclusive T1 Rugby Tournament at the BPF Mtema Community Centre. This is more than just a tournament. It is a powerful demonstration of what inclusion looks like in action. By actively adapting the game to suit the needs and abilities of every child, we are creating opportunities for all participants to learn, play, compete, and thrive together. Through sport, these young people are building confidence, developing new skills, challenging perceptions, and showing that ability is far greater than disability. Today, every pass, every try, and every smile is helping to create a future where every child belongs and has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Together, we are proving that inclusive sport is not only possible it is transformative.

🏉 T1 Non-Contact Rugby Readiness! 🏉
The countdown is on! In collaboration with Malawi Rugby Union, we are excited to be preparing for the second-ever T1 Rugby Tournament in Malawi, taking place on Saturday, 13 June 2026.
What makes this tournament special?
This is more than a rugby event. It is an opportunity to bring together children with and without disabilities to play, learn, connect and thrive through sport in an inclusive and supportive environment.
As part of our preparations, we have brought together the Malawi Rugby Union Development Officer, 12 dedicated volunteers, our Clubs for Development coaches and Bhubesi Pride Foundation - Malawi NGO staff to plan and deliver an event that is inspiring, purposeful and inclusive.
Together, we are creating a space where every child can participate, belong and be celebrated.

🌟 Countless opportunities for young people to grow in confidence, teamwork and respect.
We cannot wait to see the young people take to the field and show what inclusive rugby in Malawi looks like.

We are committed to ensuring that no young person misses out on opportunities to learn, play, and grow because of their period.

As part of our Menstrual Hygiene Support Program, we have been providing training on the use of menstrual cups as a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to reusable and commercially manufactured sanitary pads. This initiative is helping our program participants better manage their menstrual health with confidence, dignity, and choice.

By improving access to menstrual hygiene education and products, we are reducing barriers to participation and ensuring that girls can continue attending our Sports for Development sessions, stay active, and fully engage in the opportunities available to them throughout the month.

Through this we are creating an environment where menstruation is no longer a barrier to participation, learning, or achieving potential. Youth Forum for National Transformation

As part of our safeguarding efforts our BILD Program Assistant Orpah Chisamba facilitated a Safeguarding session with a 40 participants drawn from our Clubs for Development (C4D) program. The session focused on child protection, rights , types and forms of abuse and reporting mechanisms. The session aimed at equipping participants with knowledge and confidence to recognize all forms of abuse and reporting them to the responsible persons. We are creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments for everyone to fully participate and contribute in all activities.

Today our Executive Director and Finance Manager are hard at work reviewing and preparing our 1 October 2026 – 30 September 2027 organisational budget as we plan ahead for the next financial year. At a time when the funding space continues to shrink, it is more important than ever for organisations like ours to remain proactive, strategic and prepared. A strong and effective budget is not just about numbers, it is about ensuring that we can continue delivering impactful programs, supporting our communities and creating opportunities for young people across Malawi, even within a challenging economic environment.
Through careful planning and responsible financial management, we are positioning ourselves to effectively implement our operations and program activities both now and into the future.
Every budget discussion today is part of building a stronger, more sustainable tomorrow for the communities we serve. 💙🇲🇼

A proud moment for Bhubesi Pride Foundation - Malawi NGO as our Safeguarding Lead travels to Cape Town, South Africa to attend the Safe Sport Conference. This is more than just conference participation. It is an important opportunity for our organisation to contribute to global conversations on safeguarding in sport and strengthen our commitment to creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments for every child and young person we work with. By engaging with international experts and learning from global best practices, we continue to strengthen the implementation of Global Safeguarding Standards across our programs, ensuring that the wellbeing, protection and dignity of our participants remain at the centre of everything we do. Our Idea to Impact Volunteer group has been hard at work today at the BPF Mtema Sports and Education Community Centre Demonstration Garden alongside our Ground Labourers, supporting the sowing of tomato seeds in the garden beds. 🌱🍅
This is more than just gardening. The tomatoes grown will help generate income through sales, directly supporting the organisation’s operations and sustainability. At the same time, the demonstration garden continues to provide young people and community members with practical learning opportunities on how to grow crops within their own communities.
Through activities like this, we are promoting sustainable food security, hands-on learning, and empowering young people with knowledge and skills that can create long-term impact across our communities.
