Yesterday, the National Youth Network of Malawi proudly participated in the SRHR Workshop organized by UNITED Movement focusing on identifying the SRHR challenges that young people in Malawi face — from limited access to services to gaps in information — and collaboratively developing solutions and strategies to address them.

It was truly inspiring to see young people come together, share their voices, and unite for a common cause: creating a Malawi where every young person has access to their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

📢 Youth Leadership in Action!

Yesterday, our President, Salome Kadazi , proudly represented the Malawi National Youth Network at a consultation meeting organized by the Malawian National Youth in Politics (MNYP) in Mzuzu.

The meeting brought together youth leaders to provide input on the development of Ndale M’manja (“Politics in the Hands of the Youth”), a digital tool designed to equip young people across Malawi with accessible political education and leadership training.

We are honored by this recognition of our Chairperson’s leadership and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that young people’s voices are meaningfully included in shaping Malawi’s democratic future.

The future is in our hands – the youth must must be engaged! 💪🇲🇼

✅ Youth Sector Working Group Yakhanzikitsidwa!

On 12 August, the National Youth Network of Malawi (NYN) joined the Ministry of Youth and Sports, private sector players, NGOs, government ministries and departments at the launch of the Youth Sector Working Group in Lilongwe.

Speaking at the event, Secretary for Youth and Sports, Mr. Isaac Katopola, highlighted that fragmented efforts and limited visibility of youth outcomes in national monitoring frameworks are slowing down youth development. He emphasized the need for joint action, coordination and accountability to ensure young people are fully included in every sector.

As NYN, we are committed to working closely with stakeholders to ensure the voice of Malawi’s young people is not only heard but also translated into tangible development outcomes
